Hello California people,
I am starting this thread because the application for external candidates starts tomorrow, November 7th.
Has anyone applied as an internal candidate?
What areas are you interested in?
Any interviewees or hired new grads from past cycles?
I am looking forward to a lively discussion
Hey everyone,
Just so you all know, I applied around 8:30am on the first day, and my status still says "Applicant Review." Haven't received any emails or phone calls, don't have any prior nursing experience other than clinicals, and just graduated with a BSN in May 2011.
Also, a current employee who got hired from the last cohort (Summer 2011) said that they're looking to fill 60 spots. I don't know how many are used for internals, but will definitely update if I find out. Good luck to everyone who applied, hopefully we'll get calls this week. :)
Aw. It's too soon to worry. Let's at least give it until Monday before we freak out
you were right! I got my interview email this morning!!! So hang in there guys. there is still hope.
I dont remember putting which department i chose, i wish i can check. Any tips for the interview?
Thanks!
I just got a reject email . I applied Wed night, and my status never changed from submission received. They said they got 1100 submissions and looked at the first 500, as they said they would. I hope those folks who haven't heard anything will fair better! Best of luck to you all, and congratulations to those who have interviews!!

That's wonderful news! I'm so happy for you. Hope the interview goes well. Best of luck to you. I got a rejection email today I wish so badly that I had submitted my application earlier, but who knows if that would have even done me any good. I don't graduate until December so I guess I was really pushing it with taking my boards and starting a residency program around the same time. I wish I planned better
