Scripps New Grad Training Program

Hello California people,

I am starting this thread because the application for external candidates starts tomorrow, November 7th.

Has anyone applied as an internal candidate?

What areas are you interested in?

Any interviewees or hired new grads from past cycles?

I am looking forward to a lively discussion :yeah:

I made this post in the wrong board. Could the mods please move it? Thanks.

Hi Cuddleswithpuddles! Thanks for starting this thread. I just applied to Scripps. I hope I was within the first 500 candidates!

I'm also glad to see this thread! I applied to the program as soon as the application popped up, and I'm hoping that will help. Or I'll be one of the first applications thrown out! :sstrs: I feel like it's one of my last chances to pursue my California dream before I abandon it until the future when I have experience under my belt, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Not only for myself, but for all the other new nurses applying! It's really tough right now!

I just sent in my application yesterday, not knowing they were limiting their search to the first 500 applicants. Do you think in two days they already received 500 applicants? The electronic application didn't stop me from submitting it, so I hope that means there was still space for consideration. Fingers crossed!

Hi septemberRN,

I called HR on Tuesday and they told me to hury up and apply because they were already in the high 300s since they opened it up to external applicants on Monday. I didn't get my application in until about 5pm that day, but I too hope I made it before the 500 mark.

Thanks for sharing ash_ley! Hopefully the rush of applicants started settling down Tuesday, and we both made the cut!:)

Crossing my fingers for all of us

Do you guys remember if they let us select departments on the application? I don't remember what I selected, I got an email for an interview today.

Thanks!!!!:redpinkhe

I don't think they let us select departments. You got an interview from Scripps? That would be super fast! Either way, CONGRATULATIONS!

I didn't think so, since i usually write down which department I chose if we were given a choice. Thank you for your response! Yes, i received an email invitation to interview on 11/29.

Congratulations idoeveryday!!! I honestly can't remember where in the application that it asked for departments. I dont think I selected any in fact. When did you apply by the way?
