Scripps new grad program summer 2013

Thought I would post another thread on here for the scripps new grad program starting this summer as applications are open for internals and soon will open for externals. I myself am an internal, applied Monday, and have an interview already set for May 7th... Good luck to all!!!

Just got an email for an interview on Monday, 5/6 for Dedicated Education Unit (DEU). I couldn't find much info online about what exactly this residency is for, but maybe any of you might know? :)

Oh wow congrats!! :D It's tough to even just get an interview! Did you apply for both programs?

Congrats to those that have interviews scheduled! Has anyone been scheduled for interviews for the New Grad Residency program that is not the SMH DEU? I was wondering of that is the only program they have set up interviews for so far. I am scheduled for one on 5/7. There are only 9 total openings so I am wondering how many interviews they are planing??

Isn't the 9 for the DEU? Last cohort for the regular residency they hired at least 50.

Yes ex-pharma girl I am talking about the DEU. I know the regular program hires more. Was wondering if they have started setting up interviews for both yet as mine is for DEU and I believe the others that have posted are DEU as well.

Hi mellowywllow2. I can't find much info on DEU but from what I have read I believe it is a new training model in which the new grads are working with a unit specific nurse that is trained in educating. I could be off but thats about as much as I could find and I do not know what units Memorial is hiring for. Congrats and good luck to you for your interview! Let me know if you find anything else out regarding DEU:)
