Hey everyone!
Just wanted to start a thread for the Scripps New Grad application for the Jan/March 2019 cohorts that opened 9/17-9/19 so we could keep each other updated and calm our nerves :)
I'd love to know if anyone else here applied while still in school! I graduate in Dec but figured it wouldn't hurt to apply and see if my stuff makes t past ATS.
Interviews are on Oct. 22 and 23 and based on previous cohorts status changes/interview invites seem to go out between Oct.3-Oct 13th! But who knows- their rules can always change!
I wish the best of luck to everyone!!
How do they pick from typical new grad program from DEU? Mine just said interview with San Diego mercy panel... didn't say anything about deu
Internal applicants get the option to choose which hospital they want to interview with. I think for external applicants, what they did last time was they placed you at the hospital that is closest to where you live. And they do that based on your zip code.

Hmmmm, I think they did something different this cycle since I live 15 mins away from Encinitas but my interview was for La Jolla deu.

Oh interesting! Hmm, maybe all the interview slots for Encinitas were already filled, and so, they placed you at La Jolla DEU? Unless they did it randomly this time.

There were 2 La Jolla DEU (dedicated education unit) panels and 1 La Jolla panel on the third floor I believe (correct me if i'm wrong). The DEU is a medical/oncology unit in La Jolla. If you interviewed with just the La Jolla panel, then I believe you get placed on whatever unit the manager/supervisor that interviewed you works on (again, please correct me if i'm wrong).
