Hey everyone!

Just wanted to start a thread for the Scripps New Grad application for the Jan/March 2019 cohorts that opened 9/17-9/19 so we could keep each other updated and calm our nerves :)

I'd love to know if anyone else here applied while still in school! I graduate in Dec but figured it wouldn't hurt to apply and see if my stuff makes t past ATS.

Interviews are on Oct. 22 and 23 and based on previous cohorts status changes/interview invites seem to go out between Oct.3-Oct 13th! But who knows- their rules can always change!

Anyone who got an offer from La Jolla deu received a call from recruitment yet?

Not yet, or at least for me. They gave us until monday to reply so I guess they won't be calling until after that. Also, anyone thinking about creating a fb group for this cohort or even la jolla specifically? I heard that we will be spending classes together as a group and it would be nice to get to know everyone. Just a thought :D

which surgical unit? what floor?

It didn't say @nursing_excellence. All it said on the email was "surgical unit" at Scripps mercy... so the hospital in Hillcrest. Didn't tell me a floor number. Hoping the recruiter tells me more info

Good luck all! I know someone very close to me currently in the program. It's all about managing the different personalities of the coaches. Remember that and you'll be in good shape.

Ive also been following this thread for quite sometime now but have yet to comment. I'm an external who got an offer on 10/31 for the La Jolla Tele unit...I think a FB group would definitely be awesome! It sounds like they still might be sending emails today so I wouldn't expect a call until Monday.

I did! It was for a La Jolla and they had managers from a Tele unit and (I believe) a DOU floor....I didnt quite catch the second unit because I was so nervous shaking their hands lol. Great luck!! I hope you got good news :D

@momothemurse - Good point! I saw someone already received a call from the facebook group so I was wondering if that was for the other La Jolla unit or the other locations. I was also thinking that we should make a facebook group for those who got in La Jolla. We can make it when we all meet on our first day on January maybe? That way it'd be easier/more efficient to get everyone's name, email & phone #. But we can always make it early, and just DM each other's info here if you guys prefer that.

I know a couple of people who heard back with a start day in March. They are both seniors graduating in December.
