Hey all!

I wanted to start this thread for those of us that applied to Scripps New Grad Program for August 2012.

I uploaded my app and finished the Talentmine appraisal on Monday, May 14, at 2 pm. I hear that the first 500 apps (the limit that they will consider) tend to be uploaded on the first day. I am checking every couple of hours to see if my app status has been changed from: "Application Received" to: "Application Under Review". Nothing yet, (22 hours later). Those who applied on Nov. 7 2011, heard within 10 days if they were scheduled for an interview.

Let's keep each other posted, okay? Let us know if you are:

1) An "internal" or "external" candidate,

2) Any experience as a CNA or NA

3) Age

4) BSN or ADN and when you graduate(d)

5) School and GPA (if comfortable)

6) Local or from out of San Diego

7) Talentmine Category breakdown by percentages (If you saved/printed that screen with the Pie Chart out)

8) If you received an email for an interview

This will help us figure out what Scripps is looking for.

About me:

50 yrs old

BSN-Spring 2012

Azusa Pacific University, GPA: 3.8

Good luck to all of us!

Yea, im pretty sure they will call until 6/22! Don give up yet!

I interviewed on the 4th and am still waiting for a call or a rejection email! I've been going CRAZY these past couple days and just found this thread today!!! Keep the updates coming! Crossing my fingers for everyone!

I do know that they have committed to finishing this process by the end of the day tomorrow, as I did call them the other day. but it sounds like they're still making calls as of earlier this afternoon. We'll see! I expect rejection emails won't be sent out until they call everyone that they're making offers to.

I heard an excellent piece of advice Sunday night and, more surprising than the source of the advice, was the sense of calm and positivity it gave me. I'm not a hugely religious person, but maybe this will help y'all too:

"Either spend your time praying or worrying, but don't do both."

-Curtis James Jackson III (aka - 50 Cent)

Great advice. YOu can also set up email alerts for new grad rn openings by state at simplyhired.com

Yeah, I hope they are still making calls tomorrow as well. I don't want to give up yet on this opportunity!

Does anyone know if any of the offers they made have been turned down? Maybe people have gotten other jobs lately? I wonder if they will still make sure to fill all the spots with those next on the list.

Again, what departments are people getting hired into?? And of those that have had to choose between hospitals, has that been for the same unit at each place?

I interviewed on the 4th as well and still patiently waiting. Nice to have this thread to get some info.

Specializes in Hospice & Palliative Care, Oncology, M/S.

One of my friends has to make a decision between a cardiac care unit and a medical acute unit. So I guess they're offering various choices.

They were hired into definitive observation and medical acute

I too was interviewed on the 4th and haven't heard anything yet... Guess tomorrow is the day to find out if anything happens! Regardless I'm thankful for the opportunity

Bpieslo - I'm very grateful for the opportunity they picked me to interview as well.

Good luck to us all who still have yet to hear tomorrow!!
