Hey everyone!! So I'm a new grad (Graduated back in May and got my license in August) who finally got a job (OK not just a job but my DREAM job!!!) on a HCT floor at a very well known Oncology hospital! I was just wondering if any of you experienced nursies (or newbies like me, or even anyone who recently got off orientation... basically if you are a HCT/BMT nurse!) know of any good resources to get a better base knowledge or understanding on the different types of transplants and common diseases we see? We go over this information in my orientation but it is just in a powerpoint lecture we click through online and take a short test at the end... and I think we'll go through everything in class but in case we don't I feel like I need a stronger understanding than what is given to me. Any suggestions or hints that helped you when you were first starting out??

Hey friends!! I love how psycho we all are about waiting for results :) The first thing I'll do when I get a job is either save money for an apartment or look for a fun apartment (depends on the job!!) The first thing I'll buy is some furniture or clothes or something :)

Hey everyone! Looks like my snowballs will be melting right along with those of you still waiting on the magic email... This is getting to be like a sick joke or a bad dream that I'm still waiting to wake up from! I know the economy is bad but the "New Grad RN" clock is ticking and the options are running out lol. I just want to do what I killed myself for in college, you know??

I too was interviewed on the 4th and haven't heard anything yet... Guess tomorrow is the day to find out if anything happens! Regardless I'm thankful for the opportunity

I just got an interview email for June 4th too!

Got my rejection email today too :/ I keep telling myself there is a reason for everything, which I 100% believe and I know SOMETHING will happen, it just still sucks lol.

Where was the catholic hospital an what's its name? I'm not overly religious but I'm a tech at a small catholic pediatric hospital where I go to school and wouldn't mind going to one on Cali where I'm from

I'm planning on giving them a few days to get everything up and running... Last I Checked there were a few residency positions posted but nothing for oncology... I'd say if the position you originally applied for isn't up by the end of the week try calling again
