Hello fellow new grads!
I'm starting this post to round up all the applicants for the 2013 cohort at Scripps in San Diego. I called HR today and they were rather tight-lipped about when the application would post, and was told "It will post in about 30-45 days" and to "keep checking the website". Enlightening, isn't it? Also to those who applied for the last round and will be re-applying, any tips you want to share for us newbies? thanks and I look forward to hearing from everyone that's just as stressed as I am.
Sorry I was posting from my iphone! it duplicated my messages LOL. My email was at 7pm as well.mssmith, are you from the area?
Hey, I am originally from the area but I currently live in Denver, Colorado. I am moving back to San Diego next week. I wonder how many alternates were chosen. Where are you located?

Awesome! I read on some of the previous years threads and if I remember right several were chosen. Fingers crossed for us!
I am from Northern California, the Bay Area!
Got a rejection email as well. Although I am somewhat bummed because I am super competitive and feel defeated- I am honestly not heartbroken! I mean really- I am 6.5 months pregnant...I was fortunate to get an interview (and this was my very first nursing interview), but just not the best timing!! I am focusing my efforts on Sharp since I have spent the last 5.5 yrs. there and would love to stay there. Again- congrats to all that have received offers and fingers crossed for all the alternates!!!
Now I must go hunt down those threads and continue analyzing. What units were represented on your paneL? I had a panel that was represented by DOU at Green, Med Surge Acute - Chula Vista, and Encinitas.
Honestly, I was so nervous that I completely forgot to ask that! LOL. Terrible I know! My interview was on the 30th far left corner with 2 females and one male if that helps at all.
at the end of the interview one of the managers said, "so you would have to move here." and I told him "yes I would." Not sure if that meant anything!
I wonder if that makes a difference, you think it wouldn't make a difference to them, they want the best candidates. I told them I was moving back, I think, although I'm not sure. The whole interview was somewhat of a blur. But, I remember walking out of there thinking I could have done better articulating my thoughts. I do have a strong healthcare resume, which I think helped me secure a spot as an alternate, especially in the presence of my tongue tied words and nerves.
