  1. I have not heard anything from Grossmont 4W...was told I would hear by the end of last week but nothing as of yet.....I emailed them today to check status but haven't gotten any replies. Will let you know if I hear anything.
  2. No, they didn't say how many and I didn't ask either.
  3. Congrats Coriander! Today I interviewed at Grossmont on 4W...panel of 3, super laid-back but they did ask both behavioral and clinical type questions- nothing that caught me too off-guard though (like some of the Scripps interview questions!!). They said they are hiring 4 people- 3 for days, 1 for nights. They are continuing interviews this week and next and will make decisions towards the end of next week. Good luck to all who interviewed here and everywhere else!!!!
  4. For Grossmont applicants- here is an email I received from the recruiter: "The positions for 4E PCU have been filled. I am waiting for an update on 4W and 5W. I am not aware that the interviews have begun yet for 5W. With the holidays and employee evals due the managers moved forward with their review of applicants and scheduling of interviews at different times. I anticipate things will get back to normal starting next week. The programs begin at the end of February. I hope this information is helpful." I am interviewing on 4W next week (any interview tips for those that have interviewed on 4 west???). I know the manager of that floor is on vacation until next week, so I don't think any decisions will be made until at least next week.
  5. Which floors are people interviewing for at Grossmont? I haven't heard a word from them, but was told last week by a co-worker (I work at Grossmont) that her managers said they were going to interview me- just haven't heard a word :/ And do you know how many they are hiring this time around? Good luck to all!!! :)
  6. My friend had a phone interview w/ Memorial on Monday. And as far as Grossmont ( I am employed there)- it seems that only the residency program has been canceled, not the unit-based new grad programs- I confirmed that with both the recruiter and the unit manager/educator. But I know Grossmont has not began to contact anyone as of yet...not sure what the hold up is!!!
  7. Got a rejection email as well. Although I am somewhat bummed because I am super competitive and feel defeated- I am honestly not heartbroken! I mean really- I am 6.5 months pregnant...I was fortunate to get an interview (and this was my very first nursing interview), but just not the best timing!! I am focusing my efforts on Sharp since I have spent the last 5.5 yrs. there and would love to stay there. Again- congrats to all that have received offers and fingers crossed for all the alternates!!!
  8. AV03- I am pretty sure my friend is starting on the med onc unit as well....I am not 100% sure, but that sounds vaguely familiar. Congrats on getting the position!! I did my last semester of clinicals and my preceptorship at La Jolla and LOVED it there!!
  9. Hey everyone- I too have been stalking this thread since my interview. I interviewed on 11/26. I have an ADN but am enrolled to begin a BSN program next month. I also have 5 yrs hospital experience w/ Sharp and some volunteer experience w/ Scripps...all of which might not even make a difference. I applied back in the summer for the last cohort but never received an interview. Fingers crossed for all!!! My situation is a little bit unique....I am 6 months pregnant. So I went into the interview trying to disguise it- which I think was successful with a business suit. So even if I was offered a position...I obviously can't start in February since I am due in March...my only hopes is that they would let me defer until the next cohort in the summer- but I am not holding my breath for that either!! Maybe La Jolla isn't hiring this round because they are doing a little pilot program that begins next month? I have a friend that interviewed back in June but didn't get a position, but they called her back last month to tell her that they are doing a new grad pilot program and wanted to re-interview her...she got the job this time around, but I think they only interviewed like 10 people and hired like 5 or 6.... Like I said- good luck to all!!! I am going to go workout so I don't obsess over all of this anymore!!!
