Scripps New Grad Nurse Residency 2013

Hello fellow new grads!

I'm starting this post to round up all the applicants for the 2013 cohort at Scripps in San Diego. I called HR today and they were rather tight-lipped about when the application would post, and was told "It will post in about 30-45 days" and to "keep checking the website". Enlightening, isn't it? Also to those who applied for the last round and will be re-applying, any tips you want to share for us newbies? thanks and I look forward to hearing from everyone that's just as stressed as I am.

Di they tell you what unit in Encinitas?

So... I just got an email that asked me to be an alternate. Anyone know what that means? What are the chances?? Anyone know anyone that was an alternate before and got hired!

I got the same email! I'm OK with that since I am not from the area!

It says we will be contacted...better than a complete rejection!

Yes, def better than getting a rejection email. So, we will wait till next week to see what happens and what it means to be an alternate. I wonder how often they chose alternates, I'm still crossing my fingers. Either way, so much I have learned from this process. I graduate next week and having the opportunity to interview and selected as an alternate is a great achievement so early in the job search.
