Accepted an RN new grad position in the ICU at Scripps Mem in La Jolla. It has a good rep nationally, but does anyone know the buzz around CA?? Every hospital has a local buzz!

Hi, RNnewgrad
I think that you'll be very happy at Scripps Memorial La jolla, I did my training their last semester and it was a really nice hospital. Their ICU training seems very comprehensive. The employee's say that they are treating very well. I think you'll have a good experience. If I would have stayed in San Diego after graduating last June, Scripps La Jolla would be my first pick for employment. Good Luck.

I worked there for three years in mother/baby before relocating. I loved it. I have friends who took new grad positions in the iCU when we graduated, and I think most of them are still there. Scripps is a nice company to work for :) Good luck to you!

Are they offering sign-on and relocation assistance? What is the starting pay and shift differential for new grads?
