*bear hug* to MKMama- thanks for taking one for the team!!

Thank you, MKMama! It's going to be hard to relax for another week, but this is good news!

Good news everyone I talked to the rep covering for toni and he said they are still giving offers through the week and all of us will know yes or no by next week. *sigh* well im praying for all of us and hoping for the best. I also asked if the unit and location I interviewed for is filled. He said it doesn't matter when we interviewed we are being considered for all units and locations.

Thanks for the info! They are probably hiring for the system wide program now. The person who interviewed me mentioned that some new grads would go through the initial portion of the program and then be placed later on a unit who needed nurses.

O wow I did not know this! Ill take it! Do you know how many they need for that program?

Wow! Thank you for the awesome news, Christina0026!! This means that we may even get calls this week!! I am so happy about this update. Have an awesome day:)

Thank you all for being so open and sharing information! Reading everyone's comments has been so helpful!

Thank-you, thank-you to all who has been so proactive during this limbo moment. Question, does this mean we'll be getting offers for the unit we interviewed with or the float pool?

From what I gathered from my interviewer, unit managers are trying to fill up the vacancies left by nurses who got promoted/transferred to ICU, ER, or other units. If they have vacancies in their respective units, this is where the new grads come in. He told me that some applicants may not get their choice as far as the unit we want because the requisition is limited at the moment (e.g. 6E needs 4 staff). Nonetheless, if they like us enough, they will put us in a pool of new hires. From this pool, they will assign new hires to various units whenever the need for staff arises. He said they will try to assign new hires based on their clinical experience (e.g. if you had a preceptorship in cardiac, they would probably put you in med acute and not L&D).

Just received my rejection e-mail. Bummer. They said that they are making 60 offers. Well good luck to everyone.

I just recieved my rejection email as wel! good luck everyone!

I also got my rejection email just now. Hopefully it is for the best. Good luck to everyone else still waiting! Thanks for spreading the positivity throughout this whole process, it really helped. You will all make fantastic nurses.
