Just wanted to start a thread for the S&W applicants for June 2011. Let's all keep each other posted and encouraged as we go through this nervewracking process!

If you could state where you are from and what your 3 choices were, that would be great. I'll go first!:lol2:

I'm from NJ and my top 3 choices (in order of preference) are: ICU, STC-2 (Adult Observation) and ER.

Less than 2 weeks for us ICU interns for the beginning of orientation! Who's excited?!?! LOL!!

I won't be at orientation until the 20th (darn graduation!) but I WILL be taking the ICU class with you guys on the 21st. I'll be making up the 3 I miss with the nurse educator.

Come back on allnurses to update me on how the first week of orientation goes!! :)

Are you from Texas, garfield? I haven't even started studying for boards..got too much stuff to do beforehand. Once I graduate and get my ATT, then I'll start...lol.

When is everyone planning to take their NCLEX?!

Oh and what are all of you wearing to orientation this week..scrubs or professional dress? I'm planning on scrubs..

Cool! I'm moving from Jersey! I actually just landed in TX to do my physical on Monday. I plan on taking my NCLEX mid-to-late July.

I planned on wearing professional gear to the general orientation and then maybe scrubs to the nursing orientation. But, we'll see.

I am wearing scrubs to it all! LOL, cant get me out of any garmet that feels as comfy as PJs! PICUnewgrad, You starting on Mon?

Nursing is a 2nd career for me. I still have the "corporate" mindset. I'm even wearing business casual..to the physical and to turn my paperwork in...LOL! To my business mind, corporate and business wear is comfy to me and scrubs are too lax for "orientation". We'll see how I fee mid-week...lol!

I'm starting tomorrow as well! I'll be working in the PICU. Originally from Georgia and I went to school in Nashville. I'm excited to meet everyone. Pretty sure I'm sporting the scrubs as well.

I took the NCLEX on Friday, hoping to hear my quick results over the next couple of days! Waiting has been the worst part!

Nice! I have lots of family in Georgia! There's a couple of people on here who are also starting in the PICU (TexasPedsRN and PICUnewgrad).

I hope for us new Temple folks, we can get together soon!
