Hi!
Just wanted to start a thread for the S&W applicants for June 2011. Let's all keep each other posted and encouraged as we go through this nervewracking process!
If you could state where you are from and what your 3 choices were, that would be great. I'll go first!
I'm from NJ and my top 3 choices (in order of preference) are: ICU, STC-2 (Adult Observation) and ER.
Good luck to all of us!

I actually just heard about this Hospital when I was at work the other day. Now I am very interested. I don't graduate until December, so obviously I'm not applying with yall, but I wish any of you the best of luck! How competitive is the program? Good luck to you. I hope you get what you want.

I applied for the OR internship. Should I have sent in anything else before hearing from them?
Redraider, you sent in the questionnaire, transcripts, recommendation letters, etc. Too, right?
Just expressed it today, lol, called and they said get it in by Friday. 1st is periop. second is ER, third is observation. Wonder how long till we hear something.
Hahaha! Good! :)
I actually got an email from the ICU saying they received our applications and they hope to be contacting us soon for interviews! Here's keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed! Haven't heard anything from ER. I haven't even seen the nurse intern online application for the observation unit...have u?
I haven't either. I want OR BAD!! hehe
Hahahaha! Totally understand! I want ICU BAD!! :)
Redraider, here is what I got from HR about the STC-2 Observation unit:
STC-2 Observation unit will be offering an internship but it will be delayed in order to stagger the internship start dates. I believe the unit will accept interns in August however there is no formal packet required despite what our current literature online states. Hope this helps clarify!
Thank you, how many do they usually take for each internship?
I think it's all different. I know the ICU is looking to take about 25..whereas, the ER..the last set only took about 5. So, I guess it depends on the managers/directors.
