Just wanted to start a thread for the S&W applicants for June 2011. Let's all keep each other posted and encouraged as we go through this nervewracking process!

If you could state where you are from and what your 3 choices were, that would be great. I'll go first!:lol2:

I'm from NJ and my top 3 choices (in order of preference) are: ICU, STC-2 (Adult Observation) and ER.

Thanks, guys!! They sent a list of dates and times that were available and I requested the last date -- April 22nd. I'm coming from Jersey and while I would LOVE to interview next week, I need all the preparation and time I can get. Not sure of which time I'll be assigned too, though. I'll keep ya posted.

Not exactly. Think about it -- it's a matter of supply and demand. Why pay when the supply (applicants) is greater than the demand (positions)? I'll be surprised if ANYONE is flying people down when 1) there are a bunch of nursing schools churning out graduates from right IN state and 2) again, supply and demand. They have their pick of people so they don't have to pay to fly anyone down. We need a job more than they need us individually. We don't want to fly down, they'll just give someone else the chance who does.

To come down at my own cost to interview for my dream position, I'll gladly accept.

Definitely let me know how it goes! I'm glad I'm going the last week of interviewing but it's so crazy to have to wait as well! lol!

yep, got my questions written out and read up on the hospital. were you contacted by a recruiter or the hiring manager?
