Scott & White Internship -- June 2011

Hi!

Just wanted to start a thread for the S&W applicants for June 2011. Let's all keep each other posted and encouraged as we go through this nervewracking process!

If you could state where you are from and what your 3 choices were, that would be great. I'll go first!:lol2:

I'm from NJ and my top 3 choices (in order of preference) are: ICU, STC-2 (Adult Observation) and ER.

I was contacted directly by the hiring manager -- the director. He had sent me an email saying he got my application and would be contacting me soon to set up an interview. 2 weeks later, got the email with the dates and times to choose from. I've been in talks with HR but they weren't the ones who set up any interview. I think they've just been CC'd on the emails he sent.

I guess each department does it differently. She just asked me my career goals and described the program and such. I said I was free for interviews from today forward and she said tomorrow at 10.

Who is she? The recruiter or the hiring manager?

Im not sure, but im meeting her when I get there. Im pretty sure she was one of the surgical managers. She knew alot about the ins and outs of the program.

Well, as long as her name isn't one of the ones on the application, then I'm pretty much sure it's the manager! :) I want to hear ALL about it! Feel free to send me a pm if you don't want lurkers reading all about it ;-)

Heyyy everyone! I was contacted yesterday about setting up an interview for an ICU internship position at S&W! Scheduled it for this Friday and I am sooo excited/nervous !!!

Again, so many secrets around here. I can't begin to understand why people wouldn't want to share their interview experiences with others in the profession. Your experiences may cause others to apply, those others have the potential to be strong teammates at your facility. Don't you want to be on the best team?
