What is the average score that I should get to be able to consider that I'm ready to sit for the nclex rn exam?
Just wanna hear it from you guys!
Thanks

I just asked about this. I'm getting between 81 and 88 consistently. Suzanne answered that I'm more than ready.
:)
wow good for you!.. i'm just wondering because I do get 77% on the pre-diagnostic test of Saunders CD (4ed)... I do not know if that would be fine or should I put extra mile for practicing questions!
good luck on your exam...
and thanks for the response!

I've read that you should get a 75 to be considered ready. But that varies from person to person. And different sites said different scores. I made btw a 65 and 75 each time I took a practice test and passed with 265 questions.

Wouldn't just concentrate on what score to aim for but look at the questions and understand the rationale to them, make sure you understand what they are asking for
What's helped me with going through the cd:
1) I'm not getting "tricked" as much
2) I'm breaking down the questions more by logic than memorization
3) I'm looking for what they really want - sometimes there are ALL correct answers, and I'm learning which is the MOST correct.

Thanks a lot for this information!
Will you consider study mode rather than the quiz mode option on the practice CD? I'm doing the study mode, trying to comprehend the subjects.
merged as similar. Please try and keep similar questions to one thread
I did mostly study mode. That way I could answer, and see right away why it was correct or incorrect, instead of waiting until the end of a 100 question test. Then when I felt ready, I did the tests to see how well I would do with my scores.
I did study mode for a few areas, notably pharm and cardiology. But I got bored with that really quickly - I'm much better competing against myself.
