  1. I did mostly study mode. That way I could answer, and see right away why it was correct or incorrect, instead of waiting until the end of a 100 question test. Then when I felt ready, I did the tests to see how well I would do with my scores.
  2. I've read that you should get a 75 to be considered ready. But that varies from person to person. And different sites said different scores. I made btw a 65 and 75 each time I took a practice test and passed with 265 questions.
  3. Good luck, I pray that you passed. Keep your head up
  4. You sounded exactly like me! haha I took it twice as well with 265 questions each. Passed also. Congrats to you!!
  5. I passed with 265 questions and 5 hours also! It was nerve racking, that's for sure. It was my second time taking the exam. Like you, I was already looking at book stores online to see what books would help me the next time around! Congrats to you!!!!
  6. I'm sorry you're having a hard time adjusting. I start training with a preceptor in January. I'll be starting days and then switching over to nights. I'm worried I'll have to same difficulty with adjusting to a different shift, etc. I think you're doing everything right. The nurses on your floor are used to doing something a certain way, that doesn't mean that way works for you. Continue doing what you feel is the best for the patient. You're the patients advocate, and it's your responsibility as their RN to make sure they get the best care possible. Which is exactly what you're doing, so don't let everyone make you think otherwise. Hang in there. I hope it gets better for you soon. Time is everything. How long have you been at the night shift so far?
  7. The website I went to was http://www9.pearsonvue.com/nclex You have to have an account there to view the results. Did you test at a pearson vue testing center? I think you have to test at their actual center to see the results on their website. If you did, log on to your account and there should be a link to click on to pay for the quick results, if the results are already up. Hope that helps. My name showed up on the ncbon website a couple of days ago. It took a few days after the test to show.
  8. Thanks everyone for the congrats! I'm so glad to be done with it. godslilrn, I found out 2 days after the test. My state participates in quick results. I paid the fee and found out online. Did you find out your results yet? Good luck!
  9. Don't be depressed shush001. Every state must be different on getting the results. I live in NC, so we have quick results. We pay a fee of $7.95 to review our results. My name isn't in the database under licenses yet, even though my results were posted on the pearson view website. Give it a couple of days, think positive and keep your head up. I know it's easier said then done, believe me. I pray that you pass as well. Keep us updated.
  10. A little update! I Passed!!!!!!!!!!!!! So happy.
  11. I took my NCLEX 2 days ago, and will be finding out the results today. I'm so nervous. I pray that I pass. This will be my 2nd attempt at the NCLEX. I will keep everyone in my prayers. Good luck to us all!
  12. Never mind about the last questions being right or wrong. I researched other threads, and read your response Suzanne to a similar question. Good to know it doesn't count. But now I kind of wish it did since I think I got it right haha
  13. Thanks for the advice. I got so many pharmacology questions, and had no clue how to answer most of them. I'm terrified I failed simply because of the pharmacology. Also, is it really true that if you miss the last question and it was a difficult one, you fail? Or that if you get the last question right, and it was difficult, you pass? My last question was a psych question and I'm pretty sure I got it right, but it's hard to believe that the last question will determine the outcome to the whole test.
  14. I just got home from taking the NCLEX for the 2nd time. I really thought I was prepared and knew the material, but now I'm not so sure. I had 265 questions. I thought for sure the test would shut off at 75 because I assumed I was doing well enough to pass at 75. Guess not I will find out the results in a couple of days. I really think I failed and I'm so bummed out. I had tons and tons of priority questions, is that a good thing? And is that considered easy or hard questions if anything at all? I had NO math. Which is weird and nerve racking! And only 2 or 3 select all the apply. Also weird, esp since I had 265. I'm freaking out! I thought SATA questions were the harder ones, but I didn't get many, does that mean I did poorly? If I did poorly, why did it go all the way up to 265 instead of stopping sooner? Some of my friends got like 160 or 200 and then their test stopped (unfortunately they failed). I can't take this test a 3rd time. I gave this test my all and I'm so burnt out from studying. It took me months to get back into study mode again, and that was tough staying focused. I don't know if I could focus a 3rd time, I'm so burnt out.
