3 science classes together

Has anyone taken 3 science classes together... I plan to do it next semester... Physiology, chemistry and Micro... Please advise if "do-able"....:confused: :uhoh3:

Last year I had A&P and Micro in the same semester. Yes, they were both tough classes, but totally do-able. We don't have to take chem at my school, so I don't know how that would be thrown in there. Good luck with them all!

I'm in Miami and I go to Barry U. Which part of FL are you in and which college you go to? Sorry I haven't been able to answer earlier but I was of course studying... lol!

Cawsn, I'm not a single mom, I have a DH that's why I have the small luxury of not working for the moment. But having a 3 year old and school is a full time job... I definately applaud all full time working and going to school single moms! I know I'd probably go crazy if I had to do it that way.

I am currently taking chemistry (ok the stupid people's chemistry), and A&P I right now. I have a part time cna job 24 hours week that will start this week. I have two boys 3 and 5 and a husband. The math in the chemistry gave me some trouble last week but I studied ten hours and worked on it to get an 85 on the quiz. If the stupid teacher (read egomaniac, totally impressed with his master's degree and loves to make us feel stupid) would have told my class to show all of our work on the test I would have gotten another question right (I had the right answer) and I would have had an A.

So far I find A&P I easier first test is this week so we will see how easy it really is. I think if you have your mind set to do something you can do it. Just takes lots of studying and perserverance.

I'm taking Advanced A&P and Microbiology this semester. So far, it's ok...I just can't seem to get in the study mode yet.....but I will, and so will you.

I'm in lovely Orlando ....I thought I might be able to give some tips on what profs to take - or a community college BUT I know nothing about Miami:confused: I wish I could've helped more...Keep us posted!

I say go for it!!!!!

A&P can be pretty tough, and this is the first I've heard of A&P being 5 credits but where there is a will there is a way.

I majored in Science the first time around college and I was taking 5 or 6 Science classes at a time and I did ok. With maturity I have gained a new outlook on education and new study skills. If I knew then what I know now I would have done exceptionally well.

It's not impossible.

I am taking MicroBiology this semester and I thought it was going to be so hard that I didn't take any other classes. Well, low and behold I get to class and it's going to be a total blow off class. Take Home Exams and you don't even have to turn in lab reports. Now I'm really mad that I didn't take A&PII this semester. If I would have done that I would be completely finished with my pre and co-req's and would have been able to start the nursing program a whole semester early.

So, you never know. It's easier to sign up for it now and if it gets too tough drop a class.

I know I couldn't take three sciences at once. My four year degree will take 6 to 7 years and yes I am an older student. I just have to be realistic. If I overload and have to drop, it puts me that much further behind, so I try to schedule what I know I can handle. Little by little, I am aclimating myself to a heavier load because, I know that in nursing school you can't take what you want when you want to. By the time I get there, I will be better adjusted for a heavier load. I am very thankful that I have the flexibility and support from my family. My heart goes out to all who are working on their goals. You can do it.!!
