Hello, I am currently in my 3rd year of undergraduate in Los Angeles. Can you give me some top schools in California for Masters Entry programs or ABSN? I mostly want to stay in CA because I don' want to take out many loans for out of state tuition or private school tuition somewhere else. What do you all think? Are big name universities really worth the price tag? How generous are financial aid packages for schools?

I've heard from several people that UCSF is fantastic.

Hi Polka-dot,
Thank you SO much for your A&P notes! They are extremely helpful. We are using the SAME book and it seems like the professor uses the same phrases. You did not go to FLC by any chance?
(Sorry to be so off-topic, I have been trying to find polka-dot on the forums here, since the A&P topic is closed, I really wanted to ask her that and to thank her):redbeathe:redbeathe:redbeathe:):)

If you're looking to stay in Los Angeles.... The two programs that I have applied to are UCLA (they have a newer MECN program) and Mount Saint Mary's (which has an Accelerated BSN program). Although if you are concerned about cost, Mount Saint Mary's is expensive.
I believe that Cal State Northridge and Long Beach might have what you are looking for as well.
Good luck with your search!
