Schoolcraft College nursing program waitlist...help!!

I applied in May, 2006 and was supposed to start Sept 2008. I was about #30 on the list. I ended up starting early, in 2007. They went pretty far into the wait list for 2008 that year - seems like most of our class went early.

I know things may have changed since then. When I was waiting, they wouldn't tell me my number on the list, so I was anxiously waiting until I received notice in June (they send letters out in May, so I missed the orientation). THey called people all the way up to the week before class begins, so you never know.

Since the program has changed its requirements, that may work in your favor. Just have a plan "B" in case the wait really is that long!

Hi , I am finally on a waitlist for a nursing program. I passed the TEAS , and got into the waitlist at Schoolcraft,,, I have been trying to get in to Wayne, DU, and Eastern for the past two years, and couldn't get in. Last year , when I looked up Schoolcraft, I couldn't apply because of a certain requirement I didn't have done, but this year they changed it I guess , so as soon as I found out a applied to take the test, even though I took it last at EMU, they wouldn't accept it. BUT anyway I am praying that I get in soon ,,, I really dont want to wait 2-3 years,,,, What are my chances ,,,,, anyone know???/

I took the NET in March 09 & applied for the prgm in April 09 and was told I'd be in the Fall 2011 prgm. I heard that the majority of the people that rec'd letter for the fall 2010 prgm. have responded as a yes. I was originally told that I'd probably have a chance, but based on the positive responses, that has now changed to a probably not. It's tough to be patient...especially when one have taken all the classes they can for the program before entering. Good Luck & patience is a must :)

I applied in 2008 got accepted, and was told I had an anticipated start date of 2010. Then my date got bumped up to 2009. I ended up not attenting because I had gotten into another school for fall 2008.

I completed my last prereq in July of 2009 and I was number #70 on the waitlist for 2010 but for sure in the class starting in Fall of 2011. I heard the same thing that they did have a lot of positive responses for those for sure starting in Fall of 2010 so I don't think that they are going to be having to many people move there start date up. So I am looking forward to starting inthe Fall of 2011. Is anyone else starting in Fall of 2011?

a_damsel what school did you end up attending? I am going to apply for this program once I finish the last of my pre req's this year so I am sure I will get a letter probably stating 2013 if they are even still on that. It'll be good just to know that I am on someone's list but I will still be applying to other schools in the area. I will also be on the waiting list for HFCC at the end of this semester.

I'm starting Fall 2011 as well. I can't wait.

I am starting Fall 2011 as well :) I can't wait! :yeah:

am i the only person that thinks it's a little ridiculous to have to wait up to four years to finish your associate's degree? I don't know if it's Schoolcraft being understaffed, a rise in people going to school to be nurses, or a combination of both, but something needs to be done to get rid of this insane wait list.
