depends on the state you live in and the college you want to attend.
good luck to you!
any state and any school as long as it is an accelerated program and the school must be accredited.

I recently graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center's Accelerated program. It is a program for someone who already has a bachelor's. I had been out of school 7 years; some of my classmates had been out longer. It takes 15 months. The school is accredited and has a very good reputation.
You can find the details at:

happybunnynurse,
thank you but i checked into this school and this was copy and pasted directly from the university of mississippi medical college:
Science courses taken more than ten (10) years ago will not be acceptable for transfer credit.

OP, I'm an accelerated grad. You may need to post more information for people here to help you. I got out of my program 22 years ago and have been involved with potential accelerated students through my university ever since. Every single student I've talked to had to take some pre-reqs, no matter how many degrees they had going in. Most had to retake an occasional course or 2 if they had been out for more than 5 years.
Even accelerated programs rarely take students "as is"...they want a very specific set of courses before admittance. If I were you, I'd check with programs for a pre-req list. And every school is different. My university accepted 10 year old classes in everything but computer science. As they dryly told me: "your course now qualifies as computer history".
Most programs will require anatomy and physiology, some chemistry (I had to take organic and inorganic), biochem, microbio, nutrition, development through the lifespan, statistics, ethics, computer science and you name it. Also usually a math course but I had calculus so my program waived that.
My accelerated program was 12 months but I had to take 5 years of night school pre-reqs. And I had 2 degrees already. Good luck to you.

I think Quickbeam nailed it: you'll need to check with the school you are interested in attending; only they can give you a thumbs up or a thumbs down. If your science courses are more than 10 years old, I wouldn't expect them to be taken as is; I'd also expect that you'd have pre-reqs to do (what was your prior degree in?).

I'm currently in the University of South Alabama's Accelerated BSN program...it's a one year program and you have to have a prior degree. I know that we have a student in our group who had been out of school for over 20 years and I'm pretty sure she didn't have to re-take any of her pre-requisite courses. We've also got people in our program from all over the US, so you wouldn't be the only non-local =) If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you.

quickbeam - i have checked the prereq's for the programs i know about and i'm interested in but that is my question.......i am asking if anyone had suggestions on particular programs. there are over 200 in the nation and checking each one is quite a daunting task, although i am trying.
i also have a&p, inorganic chem, organic chem, biochem, genetics, ethics, trig, calculus - the only problems i have run into is not having nutrition and stats but i have found several programs that do not require either of these.
rnsrwe - my degrees are in bio, mn in chem and health sci. i realize i need to check with the schools but that is the question i was asking - which schools?
doc2bmo - ty. that is exactly the kind of advice i was looking for.
Just trying to help! I'll just toddle off elsewhere....
Good luck.
quickbeam thank you for your advice and help. it is very much appreciated!
Ah, I see what you're looking for now. I guess your best hope is finding someone who is/was in a similar situation and can pass on the exact schools' names to you. Otherwise, it IS something of a needle in the haystack thing.
Good luck!
