School Under Investigation: Ideal Professional Institute

Is there anyone knows about this school or went to it like me? I am so worried I don't know what to do,  If I should enroll in another nursing school and start over?... I don't know what to do and when I call them they only let the front desk lady answer who is rude....man now I regret going for nursing this is too much I can't test in NYS due to the investigation and was told that even if I went to another state pass the NCLEX I won't be able to transfer the license to NYS

It appears this school was put on probation and then dropped from accreditation from the Florida BON due to abysmal NCLEX pass rates. Like less than 10% for a number of years compared to a national average of >80%.

But what about the students who already have their diploma..what are we supposed to do? I already paid my money I can't get the ATT what am I supposed to do with all of the hard worked and money invested? No one knows how long the school is on probation for?

And if it's on probation does that mean the nursing diploma I have is invalid now and I'll have to start over from the beginning with another school?

The school was never accredited. It was 'approved' by the FBON originally but:

When did you graduate?

2016

Took my board in 2019 in NEW YORK due to medical issue but didn't pass

I don't know what I'm supposed to do? I invested all of my money... should I get a lawyer? Will I get my money back? ??

I honestly don't know what your best course of action is. I am assuming you  tried to contact the NY BON. Have you tried contacting your district state congressman/congresswoman? Maybe explaining you graduated in 2016 when the school was still approved by the FBON might get them to contact the NY BON on your behalf.

Oh I didn't know what to do? I am looking for lawyers and I am also going to look for what you're suggested...thanks so much if you hear anything please let me know please. Thanks again

You have two problems:

1. Getting authorization to test, testing, and passing the NCLEX. I'm not sure you could get authorized at this point. If you are able to get authorized to re-test, how are you planning to pass a test 8 years later that you didn't pass originally?

2. Getting licensed by the state if you pass the exam. I don't think many states are going to license you if you went to a program that had no national accreditations and is not approved in the state the program is in. This is complicated by the fact even if you got a hearing with the BON you'd have to convince them that 8 years later you wouldn't need complete retraining.

Get a lawyer and hope maybe you can get some money back but I doubt it.

Apply to a program locally with national accreditation and BON approval in your state.

Thank you for your concern! I didn't take my exam until recently due to medical issues and that's my business
