We have to do the snapshot soon and I was wondering, what is that? To see how many kids we have and how many have the immunizations?

The snapshot is to see your immunization compliance. The date is October 27. They will be looking to see how many students are compliant and how many aren't. Your school should have received a packet from the State with all of the info you need. You might want to get in touch with your admin if you haven't received that packet yet.

The problem is we have just switched to Skyward and they want us to check EVERY single student in our school and make sure their immunizations have gotten over there well. I'm trying to do that, while uploading new students, I'm just worried I won't finish on time.

Skyward has a compliance program you can run to see who's in or out of compliance. Ask a trainer for specifics....but this is an easy thing to do, I promise.

But would it be bad if I don't have them all done by then? I know how to use it, but I'm just worried I won't be done on time.

October 27th is the "snapshot" date. The report isn't filed to the state until December. You can still enter immunization dates after the "snapshot." When you file the report it will reflect the immunization status for October 27.

Oh yea, one more thing, you only report compliance for PK, KG, and 7th grade.

Oh dang. We use Skyward too and I'll agree, its definitely tedious! I was taking records home this summer to make sure mine were entered in in time as well. Run a list to see WHO is in Skyward already and then start with those that are missing. That's what I had to do since 2 of my campuses never sent me a list of new students so I didn't know who I needed to be watching for.

I tried to run it, but it seems to not work. It's not counting any students. They haven't told us about the snapshot yet, so I'm guessing they're giving us more time because of Harvey.

That would be really nice if they did that for y'all. It's hard to troubleshoot a problem with a program when you're not there to physically help. Maybe another person in your school can help you with Data Mining?? If the report isn't pulling any students, then a parameter must be missing when the report is created. I hope you can find someone to help you generate it because it will definitely be easier than checking each student individually!! Good luck!!

I already told my supervisor and she can see the numbers on the form, which is weird. I can't see that. Well, I guess I'll have to ask her to generate the form for me, because mine isn't.

When are immunizations due as a whole?
