I am now proud to say that my school is 100% in compliance with immunizations.

99+% here, we have many kids on the catch up schedule because they are coming from Mexico and South and Central America so I've got a lot that come 'due' every month. I'm proud to say none of my parents have filed for exemptions of any kind.. but then, these parents are from countries where these diseases are prevalent, so they aren't afraid of a little vaccine, when they've seen the disease up close and personal.

As long as you either get the flu shot or wear an appropriate mask all the time, its ok with me! I don't think its right for an organization to require everyone gets the shot (although I do think we all should get the shot), assuming my impression that the mask prevents transmission as effectively or more so than the shot is correct.
IMO its embarrassing to be a RN and not get the shot (unless of course you are allergic or something). The research clearly demonstrates that its safe and RNs are supposed to know how to evaluate medical claims and do research properly.

Thank you for your opinion, but I'm not talking about compliance in a hospital setting, but a school. The immunizations are mandatory for Texas schools and I was just happily celebrating that I got my school 100% compliant for our Audit.

it's a beautiful feeling. i have such a revolving door that my vaccines get up to code pretty quickly, but that danged 30 window they give them snares me from time to time with compliance. I feel like i am forever writing those compliance letters and chasing those people down.

You are. But I consider it job security because nobody else on campus can do it!
