I have about $30k in loans but that was for school itself as well as the gas money (110 mile one way commute) and child care I used. I hope to pay off alot of it in the next year and apply for grad school asap (luckily my husband can support us while I divert my paycheck).
So, basically I'm going to work for free and start all over again! ![]()
I have $15,000 in student loans from my LPN-ADN program. Man, I had not known the total figure until just now. Thanks for ruining my day.Just joking, I am due to start repaying about the time my new job starts.
so sorry.
It's killing me right now, too.![]()
I see my estimate of about $50,00 total after my masters was pretty accurate! It really adds up fast, and that's even by paying as much as I can each semester. Deferrment is a wonderful thing, but it kinda keeps you in la-la- land where it's easy to ignore it. Well, I can see many of us are in the same boat. I was feeling very sad thinking of the figures, especially since now that I am working my husband and I want to build a house. I am thinking the responsible thing to do would be stay where we are and just put my whole paycheck toward school bills, at least for a year or two. ![]()

How much are nurses typically in the hole after completing their education? I'm having some plapitations after signing for the money for my 1st year RN-to MSN program.
$15,000 more to add to the bucket.
One year is gonna cost me more than the four years it took to get my ADN! I'm not sure if I can laugh at that or not right now.
Do you pay on your student loans/interest as you go, or do you defer them all through school and consolidate/start paying when you're done?
