School Districts with great parent health resources/links

Good morning,

Are you aware of any school districts that have really great on-line health resources for parents? I am talking about all the school health forms on line, links to school health policies, health information (like CDC, AAP, etc.), health education, etc.? If so, I would love to see. I am in the process of working with admin and our IT to have something like this where parents can access all our health forms on line, read our school policies, etc. I figured it is easier to ask everyone here, rather than start randomly choosing school districts. Appreciate any recommendations.

One year, our previous principal was all into all staff having a website with current info up and running. They were linked to our names on the school website. I worked on mine, put in links to all the medication forms, added info about headlice, exclusion policies and the like. But then, like other things, it got forgotten about. I kept it up as best I could, but somehow my page has gotten lost in cyberspace and now clicking on my name gives people an error message. Technology for you.

I love my website! I'd link it but then I'd lose my anonymity. Maybe screen shots will work...?

I don't have a website, but we have all of that information loaded up on the district website. Check out some other school districts around you for examples, I'm sure others have their own websites.

What do you love about it? What info do you have on there? Any ideas would be great. The Lexington KY district site is great- I have been scouring that the past hour, LOL

@SaltineQueen Do you know who designed your website and who wrote the information that is there? I am being asked to do this and am trying to figure out how many hours it will take and come up with a proposal. I have already written all of our health policies but they are not published, they are more for us to just "have". My goal is to have everything on the school website so parents can easily access the information, have all of our forms in one place, etc.

How much input do the school nurses have on the information that is on the school health websites? Do you manage the website yourselves?

I'm pretty sure one of our former nurses set up the corporation's main nurse page. She just used one of the free web hosting services that are out there. Our main page doesn't have a whole lot of info...links to some of our forms, immunization info, and a few health topic links. It's pretty basic and amateur. Each nurse in the district has a link to their own page where we can come up with whatever we want to put out there. I like mine because it's cute, IMHO, and I think it's got a lot of good info out there. I don't know if anyone besides me ever looks at it, though. ?
