I not sure if anyone ever feels ready. I too struggled with picking a date, but after a few weeks of studying (Hurst, Saunders, NCLEX RN 3500) I moved my date up. Basically I'm just tired of studying and readt to get it over with. When I 1st started studying it was so overwhelming, I mean really..where do you even start?!? But every day I was able to whittle away at it and break it down into more manageable chunks. What started out as "global" studying has become more focused, especially in my weak areas.
I completely understand your dillema...I have the permission to test and the finance to pay for the test but I'm scared to pick the date as well,I really want to take it as soon as possible since I have been out of school since may 16,2009 and I'm slowly forget the knowledge I earned.I'm thinking to register sometimes in July, but I havent been studing too much, right now I'm focusing on NCSBN NCLEX review course...

See I graduate May 17, 2009. Started Kaplan May 19 finished June 3.. Read the entire Saunders book did every quiz in the back of the chapters. Now I am doing Hurst should be finished tomorrow. After tomorrow I will start my 100 questions a day... I want to complete atleast 3000 questions before I go sit! If you want we can be motivation buddy's??
Get serious with yourself. Then pick a date and stick with it. Make certain you give youself enough time. Then get a calendar and map out a study plan and just plain do it. Only you can get you by the scruff of your neck and make you get ready for this test. Good luck.
Your right.. I was told if I picked a date I have a deadline.. I started my study plan. Thanks:up:
