I have checked Lab Online - no result found.
What is SBS? (with Hb, CBC, serum electrrolytes, urinalysis, FBS in am)
This is a hypothetical client with diabetes and kidney malfunction.

Can you call your lab or ordering MD to find out?

this is a guess, single blood sample, hope it helps
there is no real doctor to call - this is a hypothetical client
not sure what SBS means -
(but tomorrow I coincidentally have to visit the local lab,
so I'll ask them if they know what it is )

Serum blood sugar, just a guess though.

I thought serun blood sugar too--but not a real test--they're getting FBS--fasting blood sugar. Sometimes doc will write FSBS for "fingerstick blood sugar--maybe the preparer of the hypothetical orders left off the F

nephrectomy, so SBS is one of the orders - along
with CBC, Hb, FBS, electrolytes
could SBS be some kind of bone scan?

I think it would be stat blood sugar.
Wait, is this one of those case study questions where it says which order to question? Then I say question that one because you are unfamiliar with the abbreviation and can't find another reference to it.
