Hello everyone..so I just took the assessment test on the Saunders cd and I got 50% of 75 questions. (Btw kinda sucks and I feel that i really really need to brush up my content)

Has anyone followed the study calendar? What were your thoughts? I read a lot about how great Saunders for content that's why I bought the book. I haven't really read the book cover to cover on my first attempt and didn't use much the cd but I am going to give it one more try on my 2nd take. Attached is the 6 week study calendar.

I got my calendar now. Thanks! Yes you have to do the assessment first.

Do we have the same schedule of the topics?!

I did the 6 week study calendar and it helped out a lot with content and I've pick up and learned so much. Even if you would have gotten a 100 on the 75 question assessment, they still would have given you a 6 week study course regardless. I read each chapter on the day that I was supposed to then did practice questions right after my reading. I passed my NCLEX first try.

Hi! I am also a Registered Nurse in PH and I am currently residing here in IL. You took your NCLEX in what state? And did they require a CES Report? A friend of mine told me that if you're an immigrant you don't need the CGFNS thing. And he didn't pass anything in the CGFNS too. I hope I don't need it too.

Hello I'm still in PH and took the exam in Manila. I applied for Texas bon. All i know about the CES Report is that if you are a foreign educated nurse they would require a CES report or CGFNS qualifying exam depending on what state you're applying. Texas requires a CES report since I am a foreign educated nurse. My schoolmate who is an American Citizen was required by the California board to have a CES report. Just ask the bon in your state if they would require such document.

Thanks so much for your feedback.. I am getting excited with all the positive feedback. I hope this will help me pass. God bless you. ?

Hi Rizmei,

I tried sending you a private message but it would go through....

I am responding to you question about study buddies.

Well, in the past we would Skype or Face Time together. We would usually work off a common book or use the Kaplan Q-trainer questions and work through each question together. We would try to resolve the questions through strategies and elimination. We usually learn off each other and I get a good idea how other people come to their conclusions.

Are you currently studying? When do you plan to take your test?

I am currently formulating a study plan and preparing other things for my review too probably next week because this week i will be reading how the nclex really works. I just submitted my reapplication to texas board and i am waiting on the next step which is the ATT. I like the idea at least we get to learn from each other.

I used the schedule and it really helped me. I just took NCLEX-RN on Saturday and passed. I didn't read everything in each chapter, instead I would answer the questions after each chapter and see where I was weak at and read those sections. I also, focused on the statements in red and with the triangle; and used the Cd once or twice a week and tested myself with 100 questions. Also, thought I should add in here that the Hurst review was awesome. Good luck and trust in God that he will get you through this. :)
