I just bought the Saunders Comprehensive NCLEX-RN review book on ebay for pretty cheap and I just recieved an email from the person I bought it from saying that she cannot find the CD-ROM that goes with it and offered to give me a refund or give me another one of her nursing books for free for the inconvenience. I really would like to have the CD-ROM and am having issues finding it on ebay or amazon for just the CD alone (no book included). I was wondering if anyone knows where I can buy the CD itself? If not, is the CD really that important or should I just keep the book and have her send me another book I can use (the list she gave me are all going to be useful)? Thank you!

Oh I agree; that CD is a must have. It has over 4000 questions with rationales. I went thru the chapters and did all the questions in the book but the CD is great for just plopping down in front of the computer and practicing question after question after question. I'd get another book and make sure the CD is with it if you can't find just a CD, which I rather doubt you will. Did you check half.com? They carry tons of textbooks.
i recently bought the saunders comprehensive nclex-rn review book online for really cheap (33 dollars!) but just found out the seller cannot find her cd-rom to go with it. she offered to give me a refund or to give me one of her other nursing textbooks for free (one of the books is for fluids and electrolytes that is $35 on amazon and i need it for next semester).
would you advise me to go ahead with the sell and just buy NCLEX 3500 or something like that to get questions from. I can't decide if it would be more beneficial to get a refund and just buy the book w/an included cd-rom or to just get another cd-rom with questions. basically i am wondering if the saunders cd-rom is worth it? any advice is appreciated!

You might try calling the publisher and seeing if they have some. I have had luck with this in the past.

The only thing I used to study for the NCLEX was the CD and it was great! I did about 100 questions per day off the CD, read the rationales, and never opened the book. Only had 75 questions on the NCLEX and passed the first time so I think the CD is a must.

If you live in brooklyn you can go the Grand Army Plaza Library, check out the book . there are tons of nursing books, Saunders for sure I check that book out all the time and renew it online. Goodl Luck on your search
Well the girl has offered me a copy of the cd-rom that she made from her computer..she said it pulls up and works fine but I am afraid that sshe will send it and it won't pull up on my laptop and I will be screwed. I told her if she wanted to send me a copy of the cd-rom and her fluids and electrolytes book (just because I am not getting the original cd-rom like I thought I was paying for) then I have something out of the deal and won't feel I lost any money. I also tried contacting the publisher via e-mail. I hope that works! Thank you all!

I will still have the old one laying around and if you want, I would be more than happy to send it to you for free. Please PM me if you're interested. I have no use for it because it doesn't work on my computer, but maybe it will work for yours. The CD is for the Saunders Comprehensive NCLEX-RN review book, 4th ed. (the blue one).*edit* I also want to add that I tried the CD on my boyfriend's desktop (windows) and it worked just fine, so I don't know. I do agree with what the others said though - the CD is a must!
