Hello to everyone..Can I ask anyone who is working with MOH saudi Arabia? Can I ask if they are offering a 1 year contract? Can you give me also an idea regarding their exam? Thank you in advance. Godbless!
Guys question, do you know their email address or any contact info where I can reach them? I'm here in Singapore and currently working (non-nursing job). I want to apply there but I don't think I can go home right now. I was thinking of ways how I can apply in MOH from here. Need help. Thanks!
Hi! I'm a newbie here at allnurses.com
I'm an inexperienced R.N. batch 2007. I'm a June 2007 board passer. I'm waiting for my U.S. visa. (My P.D. is August 11, 2008.) I'm interested in applying at KSA because it's really difficult to find a job here in the Philippines and I really want to have an experience.
I applied as an ESL teacher this October and after only 2 weeks of training (out of 1month), we trainees were terminated because the company was downsizing and cost-cutting. So I decided to really pursue my nursing career.
A few months ago, I started to consider KSA but I'm not so sure because of safety issues. But after my termination, I'm now seriously considering it.
I joined this site, primarily, to help me decide a future career in KSA.
Please help me.
*In my resume, is it an advantage or not to include that I already passed NCLEX and IELTS?
*Do you think there will still be visa retrogression (in US) for at least a year or 2 years? I'm hoping that I'll be back in the Phils. when my visa becomes available.
*What is DELEGATION? I read that there's a "delegation" next month, but I don't know what it is. Sorry...
*Will the employers get our passports when we go to KSA? I heard that some employers keep their employees' passports and I think that is very RISKY and scary as well.
I'm really excited to hear from you guys!!! Thank you very much in advance!!!

Safety issues - its relatively safe in Saudi. You'll experience safety problems when you're out of the hospital compound, that's why there's always safety in numbers, go out with fellow Pinoys (can't mingle outside with Pinays or any female you're not related to)..
NCLEX, IELTS - For Saudi application, this does not really matter because they have no use for it. Arabic is their primary language, English their second, they don't require IELTS anyway.
Visa retrogression - With your priority date, you'll probably be waiting for 5 yrs or more - approx. 9900 visas for Pinoys yearly available - nurses, teachers, other eb3, those of us waiting to adjust status, + dependents..and they're only processing 2005 now, plus economy down, hospitals closing, employers backing out. Don't expect much to happen to your case within the next 2 yrs. Lots of people ahead of you waiting..this may sound disappointing, but this is the reality.
Delegation - Group of employers from Saudi - MOH to do screening, interviewing and such..
Passports - The employer will get your passport and give you an "iquama", or residential id, the most important thing for an expatriate to have. This is for safekeeping and they do need your passport to apply for the iqama. The hospitals usually have a section where they keep all the passports..no need to worry about this..
Saudi is a good place to get experience - lots of new cases, modern equipment - you won't have to improvise like they do in the Phils..its an adventure, it also teaches you to be tough. hehe
Hi! I just graduated and got passed on NLE last 2007(luckily huh!), and after filing and submitting my papers here in our beloved country still no luck! Ouch! With the efforts and money I did! Not to mention those NKI and other hospitals here who are willing to accept me if I pay them php 7500 plus vaccines and other medical achuchu before they would accept me and that's exclusively in national kidney institute of the Philippines!
So I decided to take my luck in Saudi Arabia even though my family disagree with it, but I have to, for them and for my self.
I apply to an agency called AISIS there in Mabini, I pay php 7500, php 4000 for stamping daw, and php 3700 for medical fee. Still have a balance of php 7500, I already gave them all of my papers and credentials including my passport, but still I have some questions on mind. They can't tell me my exact location and hospital name as well as my employers name, and this really scares me and thinking something is not right here, is that so? And it's only a polyclinic outside of Riyadh, I also sign blank documents there.
Please anybody would clarify me on this matter........
hayeemumeet.. I think there is something wrong with your agency. When you applied for a staff nurse the first thing you have to know is the name of the hospital you will be working, where it is located and other stuff regarding the work place. Then ask them about the salary, accommodation, uniform, transpo, food allowance and so on..
When did you apply in that agency? Do you have your visa now? You may find difficulty in withdrawing your documents especially your passport. Clear things out with them before paying even a cent.
Good luck to you.
Hi, it's me again!
Is there a placement fee if I applied through POEA and not through an agency? What other fees will I have to pay?
Can anyone please give me an estimate? (so I'll know if I have to borrow money from my mother or sister...)
Also, can somebody clarify this: if someone applied through POEA/Saudi-MOH, you won't know the exact hospital you're going to be assigned until you reach KSA, but if someone applied through an agency, you must already know the hospital prior to leaving the Philippines?
Did I get this right? (this is my "Temporary" conclusion based on what I read from this thread.)
Thank you!!!
Not sure about POEA, but normally if placement is done through POEA, no placement fee is collected.
Placement fee through agencies will be equivalent to one month's salary. Some agencies require you to pay the full amount before you leave, others do salary deduction. Some will add 12% vat to this.
Medical is done through a GAMCA accredited clinic. Payment is done directly to the clinic, p2700. Agencies do not and should not collect medical fees.
DFA authentication of tor, diploma then stamped by Saudi embassy. It will depend on the agency whether they will include the embassy stamping fee in your placement fee or separate from this.
Yes, if applying thru Saudi-MOH, this is a big group, you will not know which hospital you will be assigned to immediately. However, if through agencies, they must provide the name of the employer. You will sign a contract which will state the name of the hospital and your salary. This contract will be submitted to POEA for processing, and sometimes (usually first-timers) will have to show this contract at the ofw area at the airport.
Be careful if an agency cannot give you the name of a hospital. Because you might be assigned to far flung places or small clinics where most people don't want to go to, or worst get a bad employer who won't pay your wages on time.
Hi! I just searched POEA's site but the requirements there didn't mention anything about NBI clearance...Is it really needed when you pass the application to window m? Cause I'm from Mindano and I'll be going to Manila this November 13. I just asked for an NBI clearance yesterday and it will be released this 17. By that time, I'm back in Mindanao already. So can I still pass my requirements without the NBI clearance? It's only here in the thread that I saw the NBI clearance...In POEA's site, there wasn't any mention that it's included...

Hi, how much is the sual rate for saudi MOH? I do also understand that they are only open to females, right? If so, then it's a bummer for me since I can't apply there at all...
