SATA questions on the NCLEX PN

This is the 3rd time I have left a thread since I took the NCLEX PN yesterday. Has anyone had the majority of their tests to be SATA questions? I think every other one of mine were that type. My test cut off at 85, and I am so terribly scared that I failed this exam. If I was doing bad, wouldn't it have given me more questions to answer?

Gigi--- SATA are the single most nerve wracking ??'s for me. I always get 2/3 or 4/5. I always have 1 extra though??!! :banghead: I guess my rationale is different. I need to make it the same!! LOL U necessarily didn't do bad. NCLEX is a progressive test. If you get the harder ? and U get it right, it gets harder. Get it wrong, it gets easier then works back up. It basically tests ur competency and critical thinking.

I think (from what I've read), there is no magic number for pass/fail. I was told that NC does quick results. But on business days. So maybe tomorrow you can find out??!! I was aslo told NC does pass/fail right on the screen. Now, I'm sure that isn't so. But I don't argue with superiors. :no:

it does say pass/fail when you pull it up on the screen. my best friend just took her nclex and thats all it said pass/fail nothing else.

I took the boards aug 31 and majority of my quest were sata! My computer shutdown at 88 and i feel i failed the test. I really dont know if sata are considered the harder queat but to me it is. I panicked and maybe started gettin my answers wrong. In ca we dont quick results but i no for surei didnt pass. There is no magic number and sata can go 50 tp pass or fail from what i heard! Good luck!

Have you tried the pearson vue trick? Doing the trick will relax your nerve if you get a pop that says 'contact your board.................no registration can be made that represent PASS, but if ask to input for CC..............shows FAIL. wish you the best!

SATA ????? i totally agree with you... just took my test on 25th august and it was sooo hard...its true that the test is mostly giving sata's and prioritizing and delegation questions.. And the pharmacology is wayyyy hard cuz nothing you study is on there at all... still waiting for my results but i really do need to pass the exam ..ive been dealing with failing the exam for the last 4 yrs almost.. i have failed every exam i have taken... my best one was the first time around ... trying to go for mty 6th or 7th try at the exam ... if i dont make it this next time im hanging up my hat and will just go back to being an MA... i hate the fact how they totally changed the test format .. ... first it was all diseases and pharmacology and signs/symptoms it was sooo easy..i almost passed the damn exam and i sttudied like crazy for about 4 months after graduation.... i live with my parents but my mom is constantly riding up my ass about studying not a day goes by that im not suppossed to be studying day and night ...who has that kind of energy to do that ... then whatever info someone else tells her she will always believe them over me and my sister ..then on top of that she constantly controls my life and basically tells me that im stupid and am worthless ... im sooo used to being rejected constantly throughout life so far and still going through it ...i keep telling her that im not that smart compared to other ppl but she wont listen to her own kids she always has to be right all the time..i hate it....

She want the best for you. Ignore what she says about you but Focus on how you can pass and surprise her with a gift after passing your exam. Learn to love and have confidence in yourself. wish you all the best!

Hello every one I eed advice like ASAP!!!!! I took my exam 3/7/12 and it cut me off at 85.....80 of them were SATA questions and 5 multiple choice. I studied annd studied annd studied and passed with honnors..I walked in with confidence not nervous at all but then as u sit their and click next for the next question they were all back to back sata questions I couldnt believe it!!!!!I was no longer calm I said this is not right i feel I failed.........what do i do?????
