  1. This is the 3rd time I have left a thread since I took the NCLEX PN yesterday. Has anyone had the majority of their tests to be SATA questions? I think every other one of mine were that type. My test cut off at 85, and I am so terribly scared that I failed this exam. If I was doing bad, wouldn't it have given me more questions to answer?
  2. Have you found out your results yet? I am in the same boat. Cut off with me at 85 questions. It might as well been wrote in Hindu, because I didn't know half of that stuff.
  3. Well, I just posted a thread a minute ago, but I am very disappointed with the questions I received on the test. The majority of my questions were teaching, select all that apply, and side effects of meds. I don't feel like I did well at all, so why did it cut off so early? (85 questions) I still had 120 questions to redeem myself. I will get my results on Friday, but I'm not very optimistic about the outcome. Has anybody been in this situation, and still passed? I'm just looking for a little bit of assurance from someone so I can function for the next couple of days. Thanks
  4. OK, so I just got home from taking the NCLEX PN exam. The test cut off at 85 questions. I didn't feel like I knew too many of the correct answers, so why did it cut off so early? I thought if you weren't doing well, it would give you more questions to give you a chance to pass. Then again, maybe I did better than I thought. Has this happened to anyone else? And if so, what was the outcome? Thanks. Scared and waiting on results.
  5. When someone is in ESRD (end-stage renal disease), what would be the reason they would have hyPOtension? I just thought it would be hyPERtension. The client that I had today has been on dialysis for 5 1/2 years, and she use to have hypertension. But last Feb. she passed out in the grocery store with a BP of 59/30. And it has been that way ever since. Other than ESRD, she has no other medical problems. I have read my books, but I can't seem to find the answer to my question. Can someone help?
  6. i am a first year nursing student during clinical rotations on the renal floor. i have a patient, who i have not seen yet (i have clinicals on friday) with the following problem, and i'm not understanding it the way i should. 43 y.o female who was admitted with an infected dialysis catheter. this person has esrd with chronic hypotension (bp 63/32). i thought with esrd that you would have hypertension d/t excess fluid volume. maybe i'm just confused. her past medical history: focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (no clue what this is) dyslipidemia secondary hyperparathyroidism previous history of bacteremia any information would be greatly appreciated. thank you

I never intended for anyone to GIVE me answers to anything!! It's people like you, (the one's with the ATTITUDE) that give nursing a bad name. Don't forget where YOU came from!! I run into nurses like you in the hospital everyday that won't give you the time of day to explain something to you. I have read my books, and couldn't understand why someone with ESRD would have Hypotension. From what I have read, most of the time it would be Hypertension from the extra fluid. To the person who took the time to explain this to me, thank you so much. To the rest of you...I am sorry for the CNA's/LPN's that work under you.
  8. i am a first year nursing student. i need to come up with a nursing diagnosis for chronic hypotension and end-stage renal disease (esrd). can someone help me with this. thanks for your time.
