Hey guys!
So I made this thread so that anyone applying to SJDC for spring semester 2016 can post with any questions, and fingers crossed, we all get in and can get to know each other a little bit :)
If you don't mind posting your scores, what are you points? I calculated mine and I am at 57 points, so i'm a little worried.
Does anyone know what the point cut offs were for the last couple semesters? And how low did they go down to after people either declined or accepted their spots?

I've been waiting for someone to start a SJDC thread, thank you! I also applied and my points are 66. I'm also curious what the point cut off usually is (I think I've read that applicants with high 50s have gotten in, but I could be wrong). Have you applied anywhere else?

Remember that Delta admissions are 90% by points and 10% by lottery! Good Luck to all of you!
Thank you madwife2002! :)
Hardwrkingmama- I actually didn't know that until recently, so I'm trying to keep that in mind and hope I get lucky. But thank you!
MP_futureRN- welcome! I was waiting too and got impatient so I just made one lol. Do you know how many applicants they usually get? And I applied to MJC this past May but did not get in. Their point cutoff was 68 and I had 64. What about you? Did you apply anywhere else?
I'm not sure how many applicants they get, if it's anything like my local community college then it's around 300-400. I also applied to ARC but they admit off of a lottery system, this is my 5th time applying at ARC and 1st at delta. Good luck to you!!

I applied but I don't know what my points were lol, i applied to mjc and they tell you the points you scored overall, I thought delta would be the same
If you look at the application criteria online you can calculate your points :)

Well I got 72.5 points and a counselor I talked to told me I was borderline, but then again it sounded like he didn't know anything about the program. Well my buddy got in last year with a 69. Rumor had it that someone with a 59 got accepted into the waiting list, but ended up getting dropped. That is just what I heard.
Another counselor told my friend that 70 points was pretty much a guarantee. That's Delta counselors for you, they never give out the same information, very frustrating. My friend was admitted for fall '15 with 67 points and she was not on the waiting list.
