San Joaquin Delta College ADN Fall 2014

U.S.A. California

Hi friends, my name is John. I'm new here and wanted to start a thread for those applying for the Fall 2014 admission at SJDC. I've read similar threads about past classes and found them interesting and informative.

I just finished up Physiology (still nervously waiting for my grade) and I'll be taking the TEAS at Modesto JC on 12/20. After that I'll be putting together my application!

I just noticed on Delta's ADN site that the TEAS will be offered at the Stockton campus the second week of January. Still no information on when the actual application period is going to be.

Anybody else want to share any thoughts, concerns, rumors, or advice?

Can you invite me to like the page? There is no where to like it, I can not view anything on the page because it says it's a closed group.

I know right? I was thinking of taking it but I do not want to do clinicals on sat. and sunday just to accomodate that class. Do you think the health sciences dept would be able to clarify this?

So I'm not sure if this is old news now, but they sent out an e-mail explaining the deal with Eng 33. Looks like it'll be online. I'm still on the fence about taking it... I might show up for the in person sessions before the semester starts and decide if I want to drop it or keep going.

I just read the email...definitely clarifies things. I think I'm going to do the same. Sign up for it and if I decide I don't like it, I will drop it. I keep going back and forth on whether or not to take it too. At first I was sure I wasn't going to but now I think I might. Since it will be via the internet and only 1.1 hours per week, that doesn't seem that bad.

Specializes in Cardiac Telemetry.

I already sent my TEAS V scores and sending the rest of my info today and a letter explaining my situation. The PDF file I printed out asks for information from the last nursing program I was at and I can't send any transcripts because I dropped from the program, but wrote a letter explaining my situation and hopefully it all works out. Hope to see all of you in the fall!

I'm handing my documents in on Monday. I'm so nervous they won't like something, anything! Lol. I'm still trying to keep my excitement down, but my fingers will be crossed tightly! I wonder how many people were asked to send in supporting documents?

Hello everyone! I am also turning in my supporting documents Monday. I was surprised to get a phone call from someone at the HS department to check my email regarding the ADN Program. When I logged in, I thought I was dreaming cause the email said more spots had opened up & they need my documentation before the 26th. A few of my classmates were asked to turn in their supporting documents months ago & I wasn't asked to. My status said my ranking was not enough to qualify. I applied to MJC & Merced's ADN programs and the same response from them. It's my first time applying, but of course I was a little let down that all schools told me I wasn't accepted a couple weeks to a month right after I turned in my applications. I guess I would've rather known quickly instead of months later. Does anyone know if there's a good chance the people who got emails recently are automatically in if all documents are confirmed & accepted? I see that some of you who are in are ready to register. My registration date is the same date as the deadline to turn in my supporting docs 6/26. I'm nervous, but excited at the same time. Good luck to everyone!

Hey guys. Does anyone know, for the uniform fitting days do we have to stay the whole 2 hours it is scheduled for or is this just an open time to go in and the on the uniform? I can't go monday like I originally planned and am trying to figure out my work schedule for tuesday. Thanks in advance.

I'd bet 10000000000 dollars on the latter. I can't see them making us stay 2 hours for something that is optional to begin with haha. I'm going to the one today at 1:30 and I'll let you know what happens!

Thanks lol. I thought so but wanted to double check haha. Let me know how it goes.

So I just finished the fitting sesh. You get to try on scrubs to decide which size to order from Dove, and also the polos/hoodies like Mirna posted. After trying stuff on and buying my patches it took about 30 min. Easy peasy.
