Just wanted to start a thread for the Fall 2011 SJC applicants to the ADN Program. I am eagerly awaiting the application period. Have any of you applied to other schools nearby?

Yeah, I got a phone call too, prior to receiving my email. It was just a confirmation of my email address.

hmmmm guess they weren't too worried about me getting mine...i didnt get a phone call...unless they didn't have the right number on file for me....

I declined becuase of the 2 schools, I really wanted to go to Alvin. Their program has a slightly higher NCLEX pass rate, the teachers are motivational and positive about the program (a lot of San Jac teachers seemed to be pesimistic), Alvin's campus is beautiful, the classes are smaller so there is a better student to teacher ratio and since the classes are smaller, they don't need as many clinical spots so the chances of getting a hospital closer to home as opposed to in Humble is much better. Not to mention that Alvin is about 15 minutes closer to me with no traffice to drive through.
