San Jacinto College ADN Fall 2009

Published

Hi everyone. Im wondering if any of you are planning on applying to San Jac ADN program or are in the program?

Lets talk about it here

whats the difference between the CADM building.. where the heck is that? lol i thought everything was in the health science building.

It's the main building where the ILS and counselors offices are.

Oh.. that's nice to know.. hmm. i wouldve gone straight to the health science building on tuesday, haha.

but on monday, it IS in the health science building correct?

for health assessment orientation?

and ps- i got my binders yesterday, and they are not all that big. but i was thinking we're not gonna keep our syllabuses in there ALL semester are we? because those things take up a lot of room!

Yeah.

I've not even printed my syllabus, and I don't see any reason to bring it with you to class (excluding the respective orientations) all semester. That's up to you though.

they kind of scared me about the whole "not having a life" thing.. because they DID mention that.. i feel like i'm not gonna have any social time on weekends? i dont know.

sorry to change the subject.

I wouldn't expect to do any serious partying while you're in the nursing program : p

Doesn't really bother me though because I'm not big on any of that. I spend most of my time tinkering around my house. Fixing things is more fun to me anyway : D

serious partying isn't really for me either.

i just wanna have SOME time for my friends, you know?

fixing things..hmm, i'll try that lol.

i wanna get one of those bookstand things.

but i dont know how much of help that would be.

like for at home when i read and study.

It can be fun if you have some clue as to what you're doing. It's a whole lot more fun if you have no idea and you try to fix something.

Are you talking about something to lay books on to make things more comfortable, or an actual stand for books?

something to lay books on to make things more comfortable lol.. any ideas?

Specializes in Oncall Hospice RN.

Has anyone read the course syllabus for Foundations? I just read the first part that states that we can be given a quiz at any time over material that has been covered in class or material that we should have read. So Shana I don't think we're going to have time for a social life if we're busy studying in our free time.

My neighbor told me that he has some friends that just graduated from our program and they were so relieved to be finished since it was such an exhausting and time consuming program.

I have a compulsive personality so this program won't bother me. And unlike my last career in real estate, I'll have a guaranteed income when I get a job.

i just hope i pass..

so when and if we graduate, we'll have a life? lol

I just read with the book in my lap so, I have no knowledge of anything like that.

I have nothing else to do except nursing classes, so I'm pretty sure all this studying isn't going to be a problem.

And we will have a life when we graduate. 3 day work weeks (plus obligatory overtime). Heck yeah.
