San Jacinto College ADN Fall 2009

Published

Hi everyone. Im wondering if any of you are planning on applying to San Jac ADN program or are in the program?

Lets talk about it here

Health Assessment in Nursing.

umm, where is that on our booklist? dont see it.

NVM! i found it. its in course 1215 right?

Should be in all of the syllabuses. That's where I found it : )

Yeah, though I think it's listed in all of them. I may be going crazy on that account though.

which syllabus do you see the books listed in? i only see the books on the 1st syllabus on page 10

There are 4 different syllabuses for the 4 different classes. On one of the blackboard sites, I forget which one.

OMG. all those syllabuses combined to print are like.. 500 pages!

i don't understandddd why there are sooo many pages....!! lol

They just give out a very general overview of the chapters. Not really necessary I think. That's also why I'm not printing them. Been in school long enough to know how classes work : D

ah damn. oh well, its my work's printer paper. so i don't care, haha.

i'm guessing i need to get four big binders for all four classes?

i mean, what do you recommend? you're more experienced than i am, ha.

Well 2 of the classes are only 8 weeks long, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. I'm going to carry 4 notebooks for the whole semester. I'd go with whatever you feel comfortable with. Very much a subjective situation.

So I bought only some of my books, but I have been procastinating on reading lol... I know that we have a quiz or test on our first day of class over 4 of the chapters, but what class and what book?! lol Hope you all can help me and that I am not the only one not reading yet

Don't feel so bad. I only have 2 right now and feel like a serious slacker at the moment.

I think the class you're thinking of was the Foundations class (using the Fundamentals book, confusing names are...confusing) and I believe they said that the quiz was the second week (on that Monday). I'd honestly be extremely frightened if they had us taking an exam the first day. Good way to scare the new nursing students, haha.
