San Diego National University Cohort 68

Updated:   Published

Hi! I wanted to see what people were planning on applying with for Nationals San Diego Cohort 68. The application deadline is Mid August 2021.

I am not quite finished with my pre-reqs yet nor have I taken my TEAS, but I will update when I have!

My goal is no lower than a 3.6GPA, and 86% or higher on the TEAS

Hi guys!

I just became eligible to apply for 68! So excited!! I haven't taken the TEAS yet. I have 2 1/2 weeks to study before my test. Is that enough time? I'm kind of nervous because I heard there is some Chem questions and I didn't take Chem!

Pre req GPA 4.0

Cum: 3.7

LVN 7 years currently in PEDS at Radys Childrens Hospital.

Awesome stats! I admire anybody who works with peds! Y’all are angels!

there’s a group on facebook that have reviewers for TEAS - https://www.facebook.com/groups/530395640963487/?ref=share

I use nursehub and nursing school pocket prep app to review

The last time I signed up I believe it gave me the option to choose an in person test but I’m not sure the locations. I was told that you can take the TEAS as much as you want but there is a 30 day waiting period in between each test you take

No 30 day waiting period, at least not now. I just took the TEAS on Tuesday and I’m retaking in 2 weeks. No problem scheduling the second one.

Horrid LOL. It was basically a throw away test just to see where I was at with no studying. Let’s just say it was in the 70s. ? now that I know I need to study I can fine tune my weak areas. My goal is 86% or higher. Which is feasible. I’ll be working with a tutor and I have a friend who does hypnotherapy for people test takers and do that just for *** and giggles LOL

Good Luck .... Lets keep in touch.

Hi all! I'm part of Cohort 60 that's graduating next month. Feel free to ask me anything!

Hi everyone! I’ll be applying to cohort 68, just waiting on national to get my AP psych score from collegeboard. It’s been a month and they still haven’t received anything? did anyone have to send their AP scores from collegeboard? Does it usually take super long?

Thank you so much in advance !

Did you have to fill out the form for archived AP scores? I took my ap tests 5 years ago and had to do this. It takes forever ? I did it once over covid and it took months, but I think they were delayed with covid. I just sent my scores to National a few weeks ago. The website says archived scores are processed and sent sometime late July and that they rush them so it takes 5-9 business days I believe. It’s really stressing me out because I’m worried they won’t be there in time to apply so hopefully them rushing the scores is true ?

Hey! Thanks for helping us future nurses out! Do u remember what supplies they give out during orientation? I’m just thinking of what I’ll need to buy! I just got into cohort 67. Do they give u a litman?

Sorry for the late reply! They gave out everything you need, but it's all on the cheaper end. I purchased a Littman, but the steth they give you works fine.  Other stuff was a med kit with "fake" salines and things to practice with in lab. Pretty straight forward! ?

Hey Andy!

I also applied to the last cohort too, I got an interview as well but was denied :(. I was debating on taking the TEAS again, I got an 88.7%, but I saw you got an excellent score! What did you use to study or prep for the TEAS? I think I may take it again regardless to try and get a 90 or above.
