Hi! I wanted to see what people were planning on applying with for Nationals San Diego Cohort 68. The application deadline is Mid August 2021. I am not quite finished with my pre-reqs yet nor have I taken my TEAS, but I will update when I have! My goal is no lower than a 3.6GPA, and 86% or higher on the TEAS More Like This National University Cohort 73 San Diego by Leah W National University San Diego Cohort 72 by ZeeC Cal State San Marcos or National University ABSN? by browrs2 National University San Diego Cohort 66 by Future_RN_2020 National University San Diego Cohort 69 by Eire
Guest1166638 13 Posts Mar 23, 2021 Hey! I didn’t expect this thread to be up so soon haha. I believe the August Cohort is 68 though right!? I’m finishing ILR 260 this week and start Biomed stats next week and I’ll start prepping for the TEAS soon. I’m sitting at a 3.2 right now. But I just got an A in Micro and the Lab and I’m hoping my GPA bumps up with these last few classes. Have you been studying for the TEAS? If so, for how long and do you feel ready!?

I will go edit that.( Great...cant figure out how to edit the original post, shoot) I'm finishing Micro Bio at the end of May and plan on giving myself 3 tries at the TEAS. So June-Aug to study and take the test. I have been studying very little so far and just focusing on my current science classes. I have just taken AP I and II so I feel good on my science. Math I'm worried about. But I have all the books and materials from a few friends who have already taken their TEAS/got accepted into the program. I think I am around a 3.5gpa currently. I know two people who got in on their first try within the last 5 cohorts. 4.0 GPA with 86 TEAS 4.0 GPA with 89 TEAS
Guest1166638 13 Posts Mar 23, 2021 Oh nice, that’s relieving to hear! Yeah same I’ll start studying after the stats class. I’m gonna try to attend their brief probably next week. Have you attended it yet? And also is that your cumulative GPA or prereqs only?

Thats my Pre-req GPA. Hoping to go up after Micro Bio and after APII grades this week. Stats was super easy. You should have no problem getting an A.

I just finished Micro and will be taking A&P I with -------------------------------. (I took Anatomy in 2019, physiology in 2006). How was A&P I?

I just had ------------------------------ for AP II (which I may need to retake I only got a B/B+). He’s a great professor. Lectures 3-4 hrs plenty of breaks. He’s funny. 10/10. AP I I found easier even tho I had a harder teacher, the material was pretty straightforward. Less Chemistry than AP II.

Thank you for your response! My science and math GPA are 3.3 cuz I have B in physio, anatomy, and micro. So retaking A&P I and getting an A will hopefully bump me up to a 3.5 (barely even the minimum to be competitive ?) Do you know if NU’s A&P are transferable?

Anyone have any thoughts on taking the class with --------------------------? I am not sure whether or not I should take it with the same professor or a different one.

I’d take him again. He gives good study guides. Ended up actually (thought I got a B-/B) with an A- in lecture and A in lab. If I can do it anyone can.
