San Diego National University Cohort 68

Updated:   Published

Hi! I wanted to see what people were planning on applying with for Nationals San Diego Cohort 68. The application deadline is Mid August 2021.

I am not quite finished with my pre-reqs yet nor have I taken my TEAS, but I will update when I have!

My goal is no lower than a 3.6GPA, and 86% or higher on the TEAS

Specializes in CNA.

Hello! Does anyone have any wisdom on studying for the TEAS test? What study methods did you use or practice tests, anything!

I am not great at these types of tests, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Specializes in Allied Health/pre-nursing student.

Hello there,

I watched a lot of Youtube videos for the science portion. For English, professor McAllister on Youtube is amazing. I purchase mometrix practice exam. I used quizlet and it helped a lot. For math portion, I used quizlet and Youtube.

I hope that helps. Best of luck

I used the Mometrix book for studying, took my time reading it front to back, did all questions - and purchased the ATI online practice exams to get a feel for the actual test format. Last but not least... took the TEAS more than once haha!

Hiiiii! question for anyone who applied/got accepted - did you submit a cover letter with your resume (not sure whether or not to have one since I’m applying to a school, not a job)

Thanks for any help.

Hi. I'm from Cohort 69 and ordering scrubs soon. Anyone has advice on picking the sizes for ladies' uniforms?

Hi I am applying to National University's BSN program and I was wondering if anyone knows if theres an online community college or another school you can take the co-requisites to graduate for the "340A-spanish workplace and Spanish 341- Cross-Cultural" courses? or are they only offered at NU?

*Also does anyone know if you need to have the 2 Spanish classes complete in order to sit for the NCLEX? or its just to graduate?

thanks

Hi Cohort 68! I just applied to Cohort 71 and have an interview 6/15, woo! I'm coming here because I am curious if anyone of you got in to your Cohort with no med experience? I feel like everyone applying has some and I am scared that that will be my deal breaker. I have TONS of customer service experience and have been a licensed esthetician for 9 years, working mostly in holistic esthetics. I feel like being an esthetician, I have a good amount of experience and knowledge, but not sure they'd look at it that way? I do have 15 hours volunteering at a Retirement Community, but that's back from 2016 so not even sure if that'd be worth it??

My stats are 3.8 and 81.3% - second time applying, first time getting an interview!

Thanks in advance for any help/advice!
