Samuel Merritt University (SMU) ABSN Summer 2024

Hi all! Wanted to start a discussion for those who applied for Summer 2024 cohorts at Samuel Merritt so we can support each other. I applied to the Oakland and San Mateo campuses. I'm also excited to hear back if I got in to the Nursing Success Seminar January 2024 program.

Me too! I already checked my email and spam 5 times today... I'm hoping we hear back within the next week. We need sufficient time to plan and get loans...they can't let us know last minute.

I thought I should check to see if there were any updates on the account since some of us got an email about okta. when I logged in I had a notification posted with todays date saying I was assigned new apps. 

So you got in with 2 pre-reqs in progress? Just asking because I have 1 in progress.

This! Money is what I'm stressing about and I feel like they should be more considerate about the planning that has to go into attending their school 😩

I haven't gotten an official letter of acceptance so I'm not sure. I already had an Okta account so that's why I was able to see that notification posted to my account! I feel like that notification was a good sign LOL but that's just me hoping I got in. I hope that makes sense! 

one of the admission counselors told me your application will still be considered even with in progress courses so don't worry!!  if you applied for the June start date, the course needs to be completed by 6/01/24!

sorry I edited my response because I read the question wrong! I haven't gotten an official letter of acceptance yet. I am waiting to hear back for san mateo cohort 2 and oakland!

Thank you, I also have one course in progress. I am hopeful l that we will all get in.

I got my acceptance email for cohort 1 on March 6th and we have until March 20th to accept or decline the offer and pay our tuition deposit of $350.
