Samuel Merritt University (SMU) ABSN Summer 2024

Hi all! Wanted to start a discussion for those who applied for Summer 2024 cohorts at Samuel Merritt so we can support each other. I applied to the Oakland and San Mateo campuses. I'm also excited to hear back if I got in to the Nursing Success Seminar January 2024 program. 

Got the official email this morning that I've been admitted to Summer 1 at the San Mateo campus!

Hi everyone! My name is Selina and I just got my acceptance letter! I will be in Cohort 1 at the San Mateo campus. I am so excited to meet all of you and go on this journey together 🤩 

Thanks @mpcmc for starting this thread! I was feeling so stressed waiting these last few months and seeing all of your posts about going through the same thing was such a relief.

To everyone that hasn't heard back yet -- I am crossing my fingers for all of you! Don't give up!

It was! I am still feeling uneasy about the lack of preceptorship but otherwise very excited!

YOU GUYS! I am SOOOOO pumped seeing all of these acceptances come through!!! Based on the responses, it looks like they've just gone out for Cohort 1, San Mateo. I am hoping that Oakland and Cohort 2 hear back soon also now that the acceptance ball is rolling!! Keep posting updates here. I am cheering for every single one of you.

Yes! Totally agree! Everyone's acceptances are just getting me more excited! Hoping for cohort 2 to hear back soon as well and look forward to everyone's acceptance posts 🥺

Im so happy for everyone who got their acceptance letters!! Cant wait til this whole thread says they got theirs! Super proud of everyone, and will see y'all at orientation!

Anyone else still refreshing their email like crazy hoping for an Oakland or Cohort 2 email to come through?!?!?! The waiting game is the hardest part!

Literally me 😭 I hope it goes by when we turned in our application and not by campus start date. We need this W!

Literally me 😭 I hope it doesn't take long. I was looking at the 2023 ABSN Summer forum, and it just seemed like it took a few more weeks after the first round of acceptances by cohort 😵‍💫. I hope we find out soon!! We need this W!

We have to wait weeks or days for the next round of acceptances? I'm also refreshing my email, checking my spam it's crazy. Good luck to us!
