Has anyone submitted FAFSA application yet?

@NuRS hi I submitted both 24-25 and 25-26 per the financial aid advisors recommendation at SMU.

Hi y,all

I am able to see other content under the checklist now, as well as confirmation of my letter of intent and deposit being received!

Does this mean we don't have to waive our insurance until May something? Im a little confused, if anyone can help clarify

Yes, it's for Feb 27 (next Thursday). Hope to see some of you there.

Hey everyone!

Does anyone know when in June we are starting?

Hi everyone !

I have a questions what. Are you using to take out loan if you don't qualify for financial aid . I still haven't received my acceptance yet but I was wondering f where you applying for your loan? Thanks

I got an email tonight on my samuel merritt email with details on loans. I guess they give $25,000 in federal aid and the rest we have to apply for private loans.

That was a big long email that I didn't quite decipher yet, LOL. Is that what it is saying in a nutshell?

I'm not entirely sure LOL but basically I think its saying that we will only get $25,000 in federal aid so the rest needs to be private loans. It also mentions that we'll need to apply twice. I went to the website ELMSELECT.COM that was in the email and am now applying for Sallie Mae loans. So far it kind of calculated the cost itself so I'm not sure about the applying twice. I have a list of questions I'll be asking tomorrow.

In case I don't make it can someone ask if possible.

-Do we need a physical, eye exam, color vision test for this program?

-Is there a particular way they want us to obtain our BLS?

-Explaining the loan email.

I am sure during tomorrow's Next Steps zoom call (which I am assuming you are attending) you can ask all of those questions. The person running it (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST IDENTIFYING INFO ABOUT OTHERS) also is amazing (I emailed her) and answers questions really quickly. If she doesn't know she knows whom you should contact. I would think for the financial aid related questions, you can ask and if she does not know she will direct us to (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST IDENTIFYING INFO ABOUT OTHERS). If you can attend tomorrow have a list of questions to ask I think it would be worth it to attend. She answered my questions about clinicals (yes they have them!) and what the senior sythesis is (which  replaced preceptorships) and helped to put my mind at rest.
