Hi ya'll, starting a discussion for those who applied to Summer 2025 cohort at SMU! I'm curious to know if anyone has gotten any emails/updates? I personally applied to the Oakland campus. Goodluck everyone! : ).

Thank you for the reassurance, I have seen lots of posts about students receiving their admittance letters and was wondering why I have not received anything. @Aspiring RN25 yes do reach out to (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST IDENTIFYING INFO ABOUT OTHERS) he will be able to help you out,  and I know that feeling when everyone got their acceptance letter in Spring but don't feel disheartened and don't give up you will get in trust me. Hi there, I am in the same situation as you. I submitted my application on November 27th and haven't heard anything, My first choice was June cohort in San Mateo. I'm thinking about reaching out to the admission counselor as well. What do you plan on saying in your email?

Hi everyone!

I got accepted into the Oakland Summer 2025 cohort. I am excited, but also TERRIFIED. My biggest concern is the cost of the program. Does anyone know anyone who has gone through the SMU ABSN program, were they successful in finding jobs after, and was the program worth the 100K price tag? 

I have read so many mixed reviews online, need some solid advice before accepting.

Update: I was rejected from the program. I emailed the admission counselor and he was able to tell me himself. I have yet to receive an official rejection letter from the university. So if you didn't hear back yet maybe reach out? Congratulations to everyone accepted I'll be applying again for Fall 2025!

Good luck! You got it, I also had to apply twice before getting in. don't give up!!

Hi @imoen22 I am sorry you didn't get in, but do re-apply again for fall 2025 I went through the same thing last year. I know how you feel. You will get in trust me, I struggled for years, but I am finally here. Your time will come as well. Good luck with everything; reach out if you have any questions 🙂

Waiting to hear anything as well. The waiting is killing me. I also applied for the fall cohort ELMSN-FNP program, but I don't believe that will come out for a while.

Has anyone received their checklist in their admitted student portal? I watched the video thats in the admitted email and it shows how to do the drug test and background check. It also says that one business day after you pay your deposit the checklist should be in the admitted student portal but it's not there for me yet. The video also shows how to waive insurance but I think we need the link in the portal to do so.

I called admissions, they said it takes 5 to 7 business days after youve paid for the checklist to appear.

I reached out to the counselor and said that they are still reviewing my application also they are sending out the notices in phases for the Summer cohort
