North Palm College of Nursing LPN to RN Online

Published

I'm looking for opinions of anyone who has attended, currently attends, or has been accepted to the online LPN to RN program at North Palm College of Nursing.

What are the online lectures like? Are there live or recorded video lectures? It's my understanding clinical are local to the college. How often do you attend clinicals? Can you please share any pros and cons about the program?

Hi,I was looking for north palm college of nursing in Florida also.I want to know about that school also.

Those are some good questions. I wish I had the answer but trice when I've requested and book a meeting for a infomation session they had to reschedule on their end and this doesn't give me the warm fuzzies.  But if I remember I'll ask and try to get back if they actually do a information session and not have to reschedule it again.

I have applied and recently excepted into program at North Palm college. Speaking with the admissions representative was an OK experience. I just haven't been able to find any reviews from actually students who attend. I was informed that the school program is fairly new maybe 15 months or so. It seems as if it will be a lot of self instruction, filming yourself doing skills then a proctored exams. Once you're done with the coarse work you'll have to go out to the school for hands on instruction. When taking the NCLEX you'll apply for a FL license  which is a compact license and can apply for  multi state license.

Specializes in hospice/school.

I applied to the school in January. I spoke with someone today. Someone is supposed to contact me via email this week to explain the program further. The school is approved by the FL Board on Nursing. Yes, it is less than 2 years old. I was told you come in person for the last 2 weeks of the program and attend clinicals. The representative told me hotel and transportation to clinicals are included in the tuition.  I live out - of- state so I guess that is a good thing. This program seems too good to be true. I am applying for the LPN to RN Bridge program. I cannot image completing the program in 9 months. Are there any other LPNs applying?

Tutoring is also included in the tuition.

Hey,

I'm applying for the same, and this is what I want and need. It does seem to good to be true, trying to bridge from LPN to RN in a short period of time. I too have spoken to an admissions person from school and processed all the required documentation. I just have to pay my tuition and put it in Gods hand and get to work. Are you going to begin in March

Hello ladies,

I've was supposed complete the process with North Palm College. After so much research I've researched another school that is also 100% online and clinicals onsite at facility. The school is Riggs College it's been established longer then North Palm and they do have a passing NCLEX rate . North Palm does not have no passing rate because the first set of students have not been submitted to test for NCLEX . All these details can be found on the Florida Board of Nursing. For more info you can inbox me . I will be registering for Riggs College to start in March plus the tuition is less then North Palm .

Update: I spoke with an advisor today and said some states they will not accept. Which include the 3 state licenses I have of NY, SC, and NV. So if your comming from outside FL ask if they will accept them first. Sorry it wasn't positive one :c

Anyone can follow me and maybe we can start a nursing group . I plan to start with Riggs College . If you have IG : nursetribe411 . Follow me and we can connect.

Hi I'm hoping you can give an update. I read the financial aid can't be covered by federal aid. Did you have to use private loans, if so did they cover most of the cost of tuition? Has anyone been accepted for the March start?

I'm accepted to the March 10 date. I didn't apply for any loans, I'll be doing a payment plan if I really decide to go to school. I don't see why they wouldn't except a loan company to cover your tuition.

I'm on the fence with them because, I don't want to have a problem getting licensed in my state when the time comes.

I'm also on the fence about starting with them and I have tried to do as much research as I can to see if I will be able to transfer my license to California once I finish the program. It is still unknown so I'm worried spending the money and it not being worth it. How long did they say it will take you to complete?
