I wanted to start this discussion for all applicants of the ABSN Summer 2018 cohorts at Samuel Merritt University. Please feel free to share your thoughts so we can support each other!

Uh. I signed into SMURF, but I can't find the way to pay the deposit....wtf am I supposed to do?

Edit: Turns out I can't read...anyway I went to the make a payment tab under finances (the first tab under finances) and made a payment for 2018 summer for 350.00.

Is this correct? The instructions on SMURF said something about not seeing the balance, but I can still see my payment history.

Yeah that's the right way. You should get a confirmation soon. It was sent to my junk mail so check that if you don't receive anything

On the student portal it says my deposit wasn't received yet even though I paid it. Is this because there actually needs to be someone in the office to process this, it being the weekend and all?

So is today, 2/19/18 the last day to sign the acceptance letter and pay the deposit? I really hope waitlist hears something soon >.

Question! I just got accepted to SMU and I signed up with the same CPR company, but do you know if we needed to add the First Aid eLearning portion? I didn't see anything about that in any of our emails, and it said it was an additional $40 to add that on. Do you know if it was required?

Also yes, I would love to start a Facebook group! I was accepted to the SF Peninsula campus for the Summer 2018 cohort =)

For those of you who got accepted for the Summer cohort, Have you got your award yet? Is that the total award they are offering? I got my award, but someone told me they will give $25000 on Federal loans and you have to get the remainder through private loans is it right?

I think it's twenty five HUNDRED on fed loans not twenty five thousand. The government doesn't think you need two bachelor degrees. If you can't pay outright you basically have to pay for the whole thing w private loans.

Hi Natalie513. Have you received your Financial package yet? Well I am almost sure is 25000 because I got $12500 now, so was wondering if we will get the next $12500 for the next year Fafsa.
