Hello!

I didn't see a thread for the SMU absn Spring 2021 cohort so I just wanted to start one!

I'm currently in the process of applying right now and working on my personal statements!

This is in the admitted students portal.

I checked back when Sac got their decisions and someone did get their acceptance email the day after a majority of other applicants did. Gives me and hopefully you guys some hope that we might hear something tomorrow. ?

- all decisions for San Mateo are being sent out this week.
- there are several hundred decisions that are going out.

My front page says Welcome and Congratulations because I took my patho and pharm at SMU over the Summer .

That’s normal! The portal is technically for admitted students only, but applicants have been using it to track their status in order to find out the decision earlier.

Yup my portal doesn’t say anything and I made the account even before they sent out preliminary review email. My portal never had my application information on there. But I got the preliminary review email. ??‍♀️

My portal doesn’t say anything as well. And I made sure I got the email that I turned in my application and checked nursingcas - I also received the email from last Sat where they apologized for the delay. So I think it’s on their end LOL

Hi guys!

I got accepted as well and I turned in only one app for the may 1 deadline! I checked the portal and received the acceptance email this morning. I wish you the best of luck as well to you all!

For those of you checking the portal, make sure you are using the same email that you used to apply on NursingCas. I believe that it is easier to view on a desktop/laptop than it is on a phone.

When you enter the portal, if you see "This is for admitted students only", then you are most likely still under review. You can confirm this by clicking on the "Checklist" tab between "Welcome" and "Financial Aid" at the top of the page. If you are admitted, you will see "Congratulations! You have been admitted to SMU" at the top, and "You have been admitted" a little further down as well.
