I didn't see a thread for the Samuel Merritt University ABSN Spring 2014, and decided to get one going. Not much to talk about now, applications are in, just wanted to if anyone heard back yet from the school or when we can expect to hear from them. Good Luck everyone!

Just got a call this morning and was accepted! But im pretty sure im going to another school so hopefully that will open up a spot for one of you on the waitlist! good luck everyone :)

Just got my call and I am waitlisted! So happy for my non-denial but my poor nerves has to handle the waiting game again! Congrats @KeetoKat and thank you for sharing that one spot has opened up... What school/program are you going to instead?

Thanks @MsMarie! I got into an ABSN program at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute in Boston, which i think fits me better. Don't lose hope on the wait list one of my friends got into Duke ABSN after being waitlisted first.

Hi Ms. Marie, do you mind sharing stats or experiences as well as you ketokat? Way better than beig denied! I heard most waist listers get in!

Well as far as stats i went to UC Davis and majored in exercise biology. My GPAs were above 3.0 but not super high ~ 3.3. My TEAS were pretty high though and i had a lot of extracurriculars such as a 2 year internship and i was secretary then president of the nursing club at UC Davis. I also worked all through college and got As on the patho/pharm requirements.

The e-mail that they sent said sac would hear late september. In past years they have heard around this time so I'm hopeful that we'll hear soon! But who knows...

@Mrkim, #9 :wideyed: what about you? The woman I talked to ----, was very optimistic about it though... We'll know a little more in 3 weeks when deposits are due from accepted people.

not sure. The person I spoke with said they were not sure how to interpret the list and needed clarification.

I actually took some prereqs at MGH institute of health professions and am applying there for summer as a back up along with National University in San Diego. Congrats to everyone who got accepted and good luck to every one on the wait list.
